  1. Yes. If you don't believe me, tell me how your face feels/looks after a week.
  2. Ok, Question! Using a tretinoin will treat blackheads, whiteheads, papules, and pustules. Using BP will treat _____________ ? Fill in the blank please I know it treats papules and pustules for sure, but does it have any affect on blackheads and whiteheads?
  3. I use Spectro Jel ... a mild cleanser that moisturizes as well.
  4. Well, all I can say is that coupled with mino 100mg twice daily, clindets wipes in the morning, clindoxyl gel at night, and plenty of water, exercise and sleep are contributing to the clearing of all these goddamn comedos and irritation.
  5. The product my doc gave me is called Clindoxy Gel it contains 1% clindamycin and 5% benzoyl peroxide in it.
  6. So by your definiton Brandy, using both should be twice as effective as using just BP for example? Of course, in prevention, I am sure that clindamycin could be overkill and only BP is necessary for prevention - but if a breakout has already occured, using both would be more effective, correct?
  7. Just a question ... How does the topical antibiotic clindamycin work? Does it do the same job as benzoyl peroxide in terms of how it treats acne? I'm guessing that it does something different as the two products are combined in certain products...
  8. Mine took 2 business days. Zoom.
  9. The doctor only prescribed minocycline for 2 weeks.
  10. UPDATE: Day 3 The doctor DID know what he was doing! My skin is improving and starting to feel normal again - but is getting rather dry, I think I will tone down the rather copious amounts I am using. Yay! Glad I listened to him. Only changes I made was that I took out the Oil-Free Acne Wash and am using Spectro Jel instead.
  11. To look like Salvador Dali.
  12. I gave the Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash a go ... used a very small amount and lathered up a lot. But, after I came out of the shower, my face seemed a little blotchy and red ... but the white gunk seemed protrude futher out from my skin than usual. I think I am going to use Spectro Jel as Neutrogena is much too harsh on my skin.
  13. Ahh, true. Sure why not, i'll give it a shot.
  14. But does BP have the ability to get rid of these "plugs"/whiteheads? Or is it only effective against inflamatory acne such as pimples? or is a whitehead and a pimple the same thing? heh -_- by whitehead i just mean like a pore with white stuff in it .. non inflamed. I am only on mino for 2 weeks though. It takes a couple weeks to work you say? What exactly is your regimen?
  15. Err, I just want to throw this in there... The sides of my nose are hardening a little...what could this be a sign of? (this is prior to starting this new regimen)
