  1. What can I do guys? I seem to be getting visible red veins on my nose, not very big, but they are visible. They are thin red veins that started on the sides of my nose, but now seem to be showing in the middle of my nose. What can I do to get rid of these veins? I've also noticed that my nose seems to be a little more red than my cheeks and forehead. What do you guys think is the reason for this? I need help, this is really getting my spirit down. ~El Sol
  2. How can I control my oily skin? I get a real oily nose during the day along with cheeks and forehead. Any reccomendations for moisturizers? I just bought the Eucerin Skin Renewal today and am going to see how that works. I've been carrying around a pack of the Clean and Clear oil blotting sheets but is there any other way to rid myself of this shinnyness? It can be rather embarrasing after a while. Help me out all. ~El Sol
  3. DO NOT self-medicate. You, as the patient, have the right to demand a referral to a Dermatologist. If your physician fails to refer you, then you stand up and tell him or her that they have just lost a patient. DO NOT self-medicate. You are depressed, as many of us have been in the past, due to the current state of your acne. But self-medicating on Accutane CANNOT be a feasible option. Physicians are at times afraid to prescribe Accutane because of the risk behind its use. I would hate to see
  4. Listen to me carefully, you DO NOT want to take accutane. Accutane is a "last resort" medication, it should only be taken after trying everything humanly possible to treat your acne. I agree with Finale in saying that the side effects of the medication are pretty bad. You do not have severe acne. A person with severe acne would have 25+ active pimples and much scarring. My advice would be to start Dan's regimen, since benzoyl peroxide has been shown to work great at fighting acne. If you woul
  5. I have a few hypertrophic scars on my nose from previous breakouts and I wanted to know how I could get rid of them. Does anybody know of any treatments to minimize, get rid of, hypertrophic scarring on the nose. Thanks a lot guys. El Sol
  6. What cleanser should I use while on the regimen? Also, what does AHA mean? Is that the Alpha Hydroxy lotion? Should I use that on my face? The cleanser that I've been using is the Clean and Clear daily cleanser. what should I do?
  7. Hey, I've been on "the regimen" for two years and I'm still not clear. I don't have severe acne on my face, but I do have some very persistent, cyst-like acne on my chest that produces many red marks and scars. What can I do for this acne? The acne that I have on my face I believe I can control with "the regimen", it's the chest acne that I really hate. Any ideas? Suggestions? Any would be helpful. Thankyou ~El Sol
  8. Hey all, Wanted to see if I could get some advice. During the summer I was doing fine, acne was very decent, not many breakouts, but then I started college. I'm currently a pre-med and life is very stressful, which results in breakouts . Do you guys know what I can do to control these breakouts? I'm positive that it is because of the stress from my course work. I must admit that I haven't had much time to work out, which would serve as a stress reducer. Well anybody know any "stress-reducers"
  9. I don't think I can help with your scarring. I just wanted to comment on your eyes. Very nice eyes. ~El Sol
  10. There probably already is a cure for things like aids, cancer, and acne, but the pharmacutical (sp) companies won't release it. There is too much money to be made in medicine. They are in the band-aid industry not the cure industry. They treat the symptoms. ~El Sol
  11. My acne isn't the type that breakouts all over your face at once. So it's rare to see a spread out breakout all over my face. But when I do breakout I have one or two real big pimples. Like right now I brokeout with one pimple but this thing is pretty damn big. I see people breakout with a lot of small little pimples and I breakout with one or two real big pimples, double the size of a normal smallish pimple. You just never win huh. ~El Sol
  12. What would be the best soap to use for your face if you have oily or combination skin? I've used Neutrogena but that dries my face out too much. What would you guys reccomend? My face has been pretty clear lately, I just recently broke out with like four pimples but it's not a big deal. Well what do you think? I also wanted to see what moisturizer you reccomend. I've been using Neutrogena Oil-Free with spf15 but it leaves my face feeling too oily, too shiny. What do you reccomend? ~El Sol~
  13. Hey, Found this small benzoyl peroxide webpage. Cancer is mentioned so I dunno if you want to see it. It is very small and just mentions cancer. Benzoyl Peroxide El Sol
  14. Hey, I'm wondering how much bp you guys use? I have the Dan bp and I use about a index finger worth on my face once a night. I haven't broke out nasty in probably a year and I'm just wondering if I'm using too much bp. well just wondering, get back to me. Thanks. ~El Sol~
