  1. Thanks for the support. Strangely enough, after posting these pictures, the days have gotten progressively better. I'm now at a point where things appear to be slightly better than before I started. I'm hoping it doesn't get worse again. Thanks again. I'll post photos in a couple of days of my day 11-20 update

    1St Month On Accutane Finished

This was really insightful. Thank you! I've been suffering with moderate acne for over 16 years, and figured it was just one of those things I'll grow out of. I'm 30 (going on 31), and have just started accutane myself (coming up to the two week mark now, also on 30mg daily). The breakout has been painful, but reading other people's stories and journeys on here has really motivated me to stick with it. How much longer do you have left?
  3. Thanks leelowe1. It's obviously frustrating, but I guess it means that the Roaccutane has gone straight to work. I've decided to start a progress blog. Hopefully I'll keep up to date with it! http://www.acne.org/messageboard/blog/7958/entry-29197-roaccutane-journey-days-1-10-with-progress-pictures/
  4. I've decided to add a blog which I will try to keep up to date. Having tried all different kinds of medications, diets, cleansers and remedies over the past 18 years, I got myself referred to a dermatologist. There was a lot of waiting for an initial consultation, and then for blood test results, but I was eventually prescribed isotretinoin. I don't suffer from acne as much as others may do, but still enough to give me low self-esteem, and those "F*** it! I'm not leaving the house today" fee
  5. Hi everyone. Here's a little background about me, with the question about me if you want to skip! I'm 30, and turning 31 later this year, and living in the UK. I began to develop spots when I was just 12-13 years old. Ever since, I've had problems with my skin. When I was 23 I decided to visit my GP to see if there was anything I could do to help. I was prescribed oxytetracyclines and took this for the next year, until I was put onto a higher dosage. I was also given Benzoyl peroxide to use
