  1. well my skin is doing quite well since i started using the L'Oreal adult acne response kit.. 1 kit lasted me over 2 months in conjunction with the kit i've been using the Neutrogena advanced solutions SPF 15 lotion during the day, i don't use the face wash from the kit but i plan on using the BP gel for body acne. During the day I use the neutrogena on-the-spot after sunscreen. I find the on-the-spot to be better during the day because it doesn't leave my skin tight or shinny, i absolutely LOVE it.. even if it's almost 6 bucks for .75 oz tube >_<. one tube typically lasts about a month. i still don't wear make-up often.. few times a month so for make-up removal i use my dove sensitive skin bar soap before my l'oreal regimen.

    AM FACE

    L'Oreal wash with woven cloth

L'Oreal toner- about every other day

    Neutrogena advanced solutions SPF15 lotion

    Neutrogena On-The-Spot

    PM FACE

Dove sensitive skin bar with wash cloth(when removing make-up)

    L'Oreal wash with woven cloth

L'Oreal toner (if desired or if make-up was worn that day)

Alpha Hydrox oil free 10% glycolic acid/AHA

    L'Oreal treatment 2.55 BP

    Make-up= Maybelline pure make-up *liquid*

    BODY

Dove sensitive skin with woven cloth or regular was cloth

H&S 2 in 1 left on for about 3-5 mins --just started this the other day

**Considering the L'Oreal Acne Peel kit..

  2. i bought a kit in florida (wal-mart) when i broke out severely after being there for only 2 days. i had my acne stuff with me but was running low so i wanted to try the adult kit. i have been using it for 2 months now. I went to wal-mart in NY today to pick more up and it was on clearance for 5.00! there were only 3 kits left so i bought them all. i'm wondering if they are trying to get rid of them because they are out of production? the kits are nowhere near expiration and i haven't been able to find them anywhere else ....i think i may cry if it's discontinued, it's been working so well. i can't find any info on it. does anyone else know anything??

  3. Hello,

I have been using Dan's products almost 2months now.

    It works, It really helps.

But it creates dead skins on my face and neck(I use dan's product on neck too)

so I think I need some scrubs to get rid of those dead skins.

    Any recommendations? thoughts? experiences?

soft scrub brush like a baby hair brush

    or

    buff-puff

    or

    woven wash cloth

    or

chemicals like AHA/glycolic acid an be added to moisturizer or replace BP at night (start off with tiny amounts, it can burn) check out dans AHA

best wishes be careful with AHA you must use a sunscreen if you use it during the day

  4. i'm a female and have actually been attracted to guys with acne.. even somewhat severe acne. i have had acne for 8 years it became pretty bad and only started lightening up a few months ago. i am attracted to clear skin as well because it's something i'd love to have.. but it is a bit predictable and overrated. since i have acne, reaching out to someone else who has acne feels good. like "we're in this together" sort of thing. the person i'm with now has occasional acne and it doesn't bother me one bit and i'm sure my acne doesn't bother him either. his acne never seemed to bring him down, he has never used treatments to help it.. just dove soap. it is inspiring and makes me not care about my acne as much and i am happy that my skin is clearing up.. it makes me feel i can be who i am without judgement.. i should have realized this earlier, i know but better now then not at all. acne humanizes us. we don't need photoshopped beauty to be wonderful

thanks, this thread was awesome ;)

  5. well! i doubt many of the members remember me. it's been so long. the site has changed so much! i'm happy to see it has grown and dan has got the cleanser and moisturizer for sale now! as for me.. i had to stop using the regimen, the BP kept giving me cyst acne. I am however using neutrogenas 2.5 BP cream.. it really is working wonders. my acne has calmed down a lot in the past 6 months.

here's some stuff i've been using

dove sensitive body wash on face

    complex 15 moisturizer

neutrogena 2.5 BP during the day

    scarzone acne at night

i'm still on my way to finding a low doasage birth control pill that is covered by my insurance..

i may upload a recent picture

i'm considering trying the regimen moisturizer with what i'm doing now..

    take care everyone

  6. today i went to the beach for the first time this summer.. used an spf 8 "protective tanning" yeah.... ok! i'm so red. i feel sick and i have the shivers. i hope it's not sun poisoning =/

well for about 3 weeks i've been using

    aveeno ultra calming foam cleanser

    DKR gel

    coplex 15

and for the body.. anti dandruff shampoo or cetaphil

and i am using equate sensitive skin astringent for about 2 weeks now every few days

    That's it!

    it's going well.

  7. alirghty well i haven't been home for the past 3 days and it figures that my skin heals ans clears up faster when i'm not home.. it may be because of my friends pool.

well i found a bunch of bad ingredients in my vitamin e cream and started using complex 15 face cream.. people say it's the least shiny of all the moisturizers out there. i really don't find that true. but it's still a good moisturizer.

    AM

    AH face wash-optional-with brush

    -optional-BP

    complex 15 and/or spf 8 sunblock

    PM

    AH face wash-optional-with brush

    BP

    -optional-complex 15

    body

cetaphil bar with brush or rag

    or

soft soap almond liquid body wash with brush or rag

    AH silk wrap body lotion

    every few days

    alpha hydrox souffle

    or

alpha hydrox oil free treatment gel

  8. well the BWC toner made my skin a bit sore. i'm not sure if it's the toner in combination with BP or AHA products so i stopped using it. The desert essence face wash was horrible, it made my body and face break out with cyst acne. most likely because of the tea tree oil. it also had a peculliar smell it wasn't bad but it was a little awkward.

    i haven't worn any make-up in about a week

i started using a synthetic bristle brush to exfoliate my face, back, chest, neck, and arms

so this is what i've been using

    Morning:

Alpha Hydrox face wash *with brush if needed*

    -OPTIONAL: Regimen BP gel

Vitamin E cream -OR- spf 8 Sunblock (currently looking for a good oil free spf15)

    Night:

Alpha Hydrox face wash *with brush*

Regimen BP gel -OR- Alpha hydrox souffle

-OPTIONAL:Alpha Hydrox silk wrap body lotion *with BP only*

    BODY AM and/or PM

dial soap with rag or scrub brush

Alpha Hydrox silk wrap body lotion

    still taking multivitamins..

haven't found out about birth control yet

    when i use make-up it's everyday minerals

i have yet to find a good make-up remover

or a good body wash. i wan't to look into the head and shoulders treatment

i also want to try not wash my face in the AM, just rinsing and pat dry and optional moisturizer

my current skin condition- healing cyst acne, few white heads, dark pores on nose, cheeks and chin * not black heads*, small pale bumps under nose and in chin crease dry, flaky, shiny and oily skin

over all acne has improved since last post

  9. well i'm thinking about slowing down on the use of alpha hydrox products. i recently ordered the souflee and the oil-free gel. i also ordered an economy size desert essence face wash which i have been using to remove make-up and wash my body with i'm still using .. i'm still using the alpha hydrox face wash and i started using a BWC toner .i'll update my product pictures soon so you can see what i'm talking about.

  10. well i got my EMM a few days ago.. haven't used it yet b-c i haven't had time to. i will probly start using it tomorrow since i have work

i think i'm going to make a check list for my regimen. i hevn't been keeping up with it too well also picking a lot

  11. alrighty i know it seems like i'm using a lot of products atm but it's working so far.

i'm also awaiting my EMM so i can stop using dream matte mouse. i think it's giving me more cyst acne. I already know some are from the CSR gel because this happened when i first tried the regimen.. but the make-up probly isn't helping. hell, i know mineral make-up won't either but hopefully it won't make it worse.

so.. i posted new pictures and a whole shpeil on the products i'm using and how.. so my current regimen is still a little bit fuzzy even after being into it for about 3 weeks now.

    here goes..

    AM

    Face

1)Alpha Hydrox foaming face wash with shower gloves

    pat dry

*optional*2)2 drops of Desert Essence jojoba while still damp

    wait a few mins

3)1-2 finger tips of Fruit of the earth vitamin E skin cream

*IF applying make-up wait 10-20 mins* I usually only wear make-up 1-2 times a week

4)Dream matte mouse- Thin layer applied with hands.

    AM

    Body

1)Alpha Hydrox sea mist body wash with shower puff

    leave for a few moments

*optional*2)Alpha Hydrox silk wrap body lotion

    Before PM shower

    *ONLY when removing make-up*

1)Almay moisturizing eye make-up removing pads all over

    2)wipe off with tissue

3)rinse face and apply a generous amount of Americas Choice gentle skin cleanser

4)use a wet soft rag and gently wipe off, rinse and continue with PM regimen

    PM

    Face

1)Alpha Hydrox foaming face wash with shower gloves

    pat dry

*optional*2)2 drops of Desert Essence jojoba while still damp

    wait a few mins

3)Thin layer of CSR gel all over then add a thick layer over problem areas

    wait until almost dry

4)3 finger tips of Fruit of the earth vitamin E skin cream

    PM

    Body

1)Dial antibacterial bar with shower puff or shower gloves

    rinse

*every other day-2days*2)Sea Breeze 2%SA astringent

    wait a few mins

*optional*3)Alpha Hydrox silk wrap body lotion

    Weekly PM Face treatment?

I haven't stuck with this. i think i used these once while on this regimen.. I'm not sure if i'm going to keep this in here.

    1)Alpha Hydrox foaming face wash

    rinse*IF flaky use shower gloves*

    2)Queen Helene mint julep scrub

    rinse pat dry

    3)Queen Helene mint julep mask

    let dry

rinse with warm water and rag

continue with PM regimen at step 2

i've used the "weekly treatment" twice since starting the regimen.

DEVELOPED--cyst acne again (believe it's caused by BP and make-up)

IMPROVEMENTS-- Less active acne on face. chest, neck, back and arms have improved drastically.

i've noticed scarring =( i realy do believe it's from when i used murad for a month and a half. the acne got so much worse when i used murad and i would pick =( so now i have to deal with scars after the acne clears. looking at the bright side i guess that's better than acne and scars huh ? one problem at a time.

  12. well everything is going well so far, the jojoba oil helped a great deal , also using a vitamin/mineral moiturizing cream it's made by fruit of the earth.

AH face wash with bath puff for exfoliation when needed

    pat dry

few drops of jojoba while face is still damp

    wait a few mins

a little bp in the am lots at night

    wait a few mins

    moisture cream

when i wear make-up (dream matte mouse) i don't use as much jojoba or moisture cream and no BP

    back,chest, arms

dial anti-bacterial golden bar with bath puff

AH sea mist body wash with bath puff

    pat dry

sea breeze astringent 2%SA (usually only at night)

  13. so i switched to cetaphil moisturizing bar soon after my last post. and it helped a bit.

i finally ordered and recieved the jojba oil, alpha hydrox foaming face wash and aplha hydrox body wash.

i started using all three of those products tuesday evening. i skipped bplast night and just used jojoba and aha lotion

    face am

Alpha hydrox foaming face wash with soft rag

    jojoba oil

Alpha hydrox AHA lotion or purpose spf15 moisturizer

make-up for work- dream matte mouse

    face pm

    almay make-up remover pads

alpha hydrox foaming face wash with soft rag

    jojoba oil

    CSR gel

    apha hydrox AHA lotion

    body-

alpha hydrox sea mist body wash with shower gloves or rag

    alpha hydrox AHA lotion

  14. Alright.. well it's time to retry..

I'm going to do my best to stay on the regimen. I will avoid all other acne treatments..

    Things i'm considering.

    Birthcontrol

    Alpha Hydrox face wash

    AHA/BHA lotion

    glycolic acid (toner?)

    complex 15 moisturizer

    jojoba oil

    witch hazel

    What i'm sticking with.

    CSR gel

    Daily vitamins

well I am going to keep using purpose moisturizer during the day.

    BP+AHA lotion at night.

And as a cleanser i'm using neutrogena oil-free acne wash with SA.

as soon as I find/order the face wash, moisturizer and toner I will start fresh. Probly make a new log.

  15. thanks a ton. I'm looking forward to trying the jojoba oil. you have been a big help. I also feel i'm used to the bp, when i first starting using it a few years ago i went straight for the 10%. because i couldn't find any lower dosage + i thought max strength would= clear skin fast... i have used it off and on but i would really like to settle into using the lower BP% csr gel and chemical exfoliation. anyway good luck to you, and thanks again!

  16. It's safe to put AHA over BP. Just make sure to wait a few minutes after applying BP. Also, I would do this only at night. Use your regular moisturizer instead of AHA in the daytime and make sure to use something with at least SPF 15.

I put an 8% AHA on top of BP each night, and while there's a slight stinging at first, it's tolerable and goes away quickly. Just don't use too much to start with, and make sure the BP has absorbed completely before you apply AHA.

thanks=) have you guys tried AHA lotion then bp ? I was reading here http://www.cosmeticscop.com/learn/art.asp?ID=138 when i was trying to find out if i can use AHA over/under BP. On the site it says that using AHA/BHA under differin or other retinoids, actually improves it's effectiveness because it is able to penetrate the skin..

cool as kim deal --one more thing.. i see you use jojoba oil, i also want to try this because my skin is a type of dry oily and flaky. what was your skin like before using jojoba?
