  1. Tea Tree Oil tends to have that severe burning effect, I experience the same thing whenever I apply it, and the same feeling returns when I moisturize over it... Try your best not to rub or scratch that area. If it gets too uncomfortable, wrap some ice up in a cloth and put it over whatever burns, or try putting some plain cold yogurt on it for a couple of minutes..
