I have the PERFECT, INEXPENSIVE cure to acne, epsom salt
LexyK replied to Lee38's topic in The Acne.org Regimen
Violeta-you are right about, NaCl, sodium chloride (also known as Halite) being salt but that is the salt that we know as table salt. Epsom salt (also known as Epsomite) has a different chemical makeup then NaCl it's chemical makeup is MgSO4, magnesium sulfate. Epsom salt and sodium choride are different that's why epsom salt is good for healing and table salt isn't. -
For everyone, please respond : a question about your hair

I have thin fine hair that becomes oily in one day. -
Smoking causes the skin to age prematurely creating fine lines and wrinkles so it may irritate acne as well. I've always read that hot water dries out the skin so I tend to just use warm water.

Is there a way to dry and get rid of big under the skin acne

Freddie1977, my acne right now is mild. I started out using the mask every other night and spot treatment every night but that became to drying for my face. I now use it about once or twice a week all over my face. I saw results in less then a week but the mask doesn't help any healing of red marks so I'm still trying to work on that. At least it helps prevent new red marks. -
I use it all over my face every other night and spot treat overnight when ever needed, I'm not prone to dry or irritated skin so this might be to drying for some people.

Bluescreenofdeath, the reason table salt doesn't work is because it is a different chemical compostion then sea salt or epsom salts.

I also found that my face clears up every year when I go to the beach. I think it's from the drying affects of the sun and salt water that's why the clearness is temporary and it gets worse when you get home. Salt is also known to be one of the best healers but not table salt.

Chris123, I bought the Helene Masque at Wal-Mart after reading many good posts about it. Since I started using it I haven't gotten one new pimple and it's been about 1 1/2 weeks. -
Along with washing my pillow I also wip off my phone with rubbing alcohol every time I use it and try to wash my hands as often as I remember to.

My daughter has eczema (very dry skin with patches of rashes) and since she was a baby I couldn't find a soap that was gentle enough for her skin. My dentist actually told me about dove and I've never bought another soap since. I don't know if it's good to use on your face.

I never used the desitin cream but I did use the Desitin powder (mixed with water to make paste) and it never made me break out. It helped the healing process but nothing drastic. I also didn't use it every day.

I used aloe vera gel because I heard it was suppose to help heal the red marks. It helped a little but over all it just made my face feel sticky.
