    Not Telling
  1. Day 63 It has been so long since I last updated. The Epiduo and Estelle are really helping and my acne is better than ever. I still get occasional flare ups but it usually dries up within a day or two. I still experience flaking of skin around my nose but I see no peeling other than that. My skin feels more sensitive than usual and I have to be very careful when wiping my face with a washtowel or it will burn/hurt slightly. In case you can't tell, left is day 1, and right is day 63.
  2. You should look into NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser or NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
  3. Ty sosososososoos much. It's only been 20 days and my skin has improved so much! I've uploaded new photos. Hopefully this will last. Any time girl! And I hear ya. I'm taking the pill for contraception and acne, but in a few years I'd like to have kids so it's not something I want to stay on long term. Have you considered spiro maybe? And yeah the initial break out kinda sucks. Just barrel through it and hopefully you'll see results!
  4. A while ago my friend suggested for me to use paper towels to pat dry my face instead of a face towel which i'd wash twice every week. I've been doing this for around a month but... is it really better and more hygienic? I'm not sure what quality controls factories have in terms of producing paper towels but I doubt that they keep everything EXTREMELY clean. What do you guys think?
  5. Thank you so much for this because it gives me hope lol! I'd prefer not to take birth control pills long term because i'm not sexually active at the moment, but I don't see many other options since I am pretty sure my acne is hormonal. I'm going back to my dermatologist mid June (earlier appointment I could get...) so hopefully she can recommend some other things. I'm pretty depressed right now though because my face seems worse than how it started off and i'm also getting acne on the side of my
  6. Beautiful - one of my most used products.

I have only discovered Avene Thermal Spring Water recently but i'm in love with it. It is soothing, moisturizing and feels very light on my skin. The bottle suggests to pat it dry but I let it air dry and only takes a few minutes max. I now use it after washing my face, setting my makeup as well as occasionally sprays during the day. The only thing that I don't like about this product is that the 50mL bottle costs $10 and the 300mL bottle costs $25. The 300mL bottle is way too big to travel wit
  7. Day 31 Woops. I think I spoke too soon. My skin is not as clear as my last progress image but I guess it's not too bad. Definitely better than day 1. My skin has gone back to being extremely oily though and it is very frustrating because now I need to deal with the shine on my face as well as the peeling skin caused by Epiduo. I finally gave in and used my Neutrogena Grapefruit Acne Scrub (which I used before starting Epiduo). I know it is not recommended to use salicylic acid along with benzyl
  8. In my opinion sponges give the most coverage, followed by hand, then brush. The sponge is great for oily skin because it will absorb most of the moisture. It does a better job at concealing pores (as compared to the hand and brush).
  9. Stings my eyes for the whole duration

The mask brightens my skin and makes it feel very soft, but my eyes stings VERY badly pretty much throughout the whole process. I do not put the mask any closer to my eyes than I do with other masks.
  10. I've had acne for quite a number of years now and have tried many over the counter products with no success. I took Doxycycline for three months from Dec - March, my skin was 100% clear but the acne came back almost as soon as I stopped (frustrating, I know). My acne in real life is much more worse/red than it appears in photos. I've been on Estelle and Epiduo for four week now. Products I am using: Estelle-35 Epiduo (adapalene and benzoyl peroxide) Gel 0.1%/2.5% Cetaphil Derma Contro

    Soothing.

    Soothing.

I used this every day prior to going on Epiduo (my skin is extremely dry right now) and it was good. It is very soothing, made my skin feel clean, calmed my break outs and made my skin feel very soft. When I first bought it I used it as a makeup remover but that ended up being too costly. It is $30 for 8.5oz bottle in Australia, so I use the product sparingly. It is a good product, but it's no miracle.
  12. Clear ONLY while you're on it

My dermatologist prescribed me 3 months worth of doxycycline mid December last year. I took it exactly as prescribed and within a few days (~4) I already started seeing results. It was really encouraging and at around late January, my skin had been the clearest it had been in years! My tablets ran out in mid March and my acne came back early April. It was very frustrating and I got even more self conscious because I had finally gotten a taste of what it'd feel like having porcelain skin, but it
  13. I find that using a BB cream along with a foundation helps a lot. I currently use Garnier oil free BB cream and Clinique Supermoisture Makeup over the top. I'm a big Clinique fan and their products are allergy tested and fragrance free. The foundation is NOT claimed to be non-comedogenic, but i've been using it for a while and it hasn't caused me any break outs. I use my hand to apply them because I find that the moisture tends to last longer when I do, and when I want a fuller coverage I use a
  14. Hi, that is great to hear. I have just started taking Estelle-35 (same as Diane-35) and reading about post-pill break outs has scared me quite a bit. I'm glad to hear that there might be a way to solve this problem. Please keep us posted!
  15. Favourite foundation so far

I usually wear a BB cream but I wear foundation when I go out. This feels light on my skin and doesn't worsen my acne. Along with a finishing powder, my face is able to stay (fairly) matte all day. Only complaint I have is that my skin is fairly dark with a yellow undertone, so there's not many to choose from in the color range. I use Fresh Beige but there is still a fairly noticeable difference between the foundation color and my skin color.
