  1. ummm you didn't take science very far in school did you? because you're wrong. you can't have a chemical imbalance from a "trigger" the imblance is genetic and you're born with it and the trigger just exasperbates the situation. Post natal depression is again due to the sudden hormonal change which is biological and NOT under someone's control. Talk thereapy and behaviour modification can help in minor cases but it is NOT just a matter of flicking the switch. for someone who seems so

  3. Correct, depression is ultimately a chemical imbalance in the brain caused by certain triggers of the past such as acne for instance. Although the physical condition of acne may have gone or be very minor that imbalance still remains. Its very similar to post-natal depression. I know of a mother who was all full of life before giving birth to twins. She was very well supported financially and emotionally by her family and husband and from the outside it looks like a dream family environment, yet
  4. /bump good read thanks man. Been thinking theres huge corruption in the cosmetics industry for a long while now. will definetely trial with this GLA idea. More people should be reading this thread and to change their perception on the industry and not remain blinded by all these lies and BS that advertisers send our way. In the end all they care about is filling their pockets.
  5. has anyone tried the coenzyme A master enzyme formula by Coenzyme-A technology Coenzyme A The formula used in the master enzyme is supposed to grant a huge boost in general health and well being. They claim that taking two of these a day will grant greater results than those taking 10-20g of pantothenic acid a day because of a balanced combination of the chemicals needed to produce coenzyme A. The full report can be read in the above link. If this is true taking only 2 of the tablets should pr
  6. Week 6 Have been Using Lights for 6 weeks now, and BP for the last 4 ( to clear up breakouts ) . Cutting BP use to once a day for the next week or two. Will keep you all updated. BTW im slightly worried that the light isnt reaching all areas of my face and neck evenly. Just a few questions; -Do you all move your face around during the treatment? If so how often. -I havea 6 bulb unit. Can i face the far left bulb for 5 mins, then the far right bulb for 5 mins and then the center for 5 mins t
  7. Enjoy ur path to becomming anorexic. You may stop your acne but down the line you will create other problems.
  8. Just because skin appears dry doesnt mean there is no sebum on the surface. All skin has a certain level of sebum on the surface except people who use accutane and other treatments that shut down production. Dry skin can still get breakouts because all it takes is one pore out of millions to get blocked. People with oily skin have a larger proportion of sebum on the surface so they are more prone to breakouts. Dont go shouting that dry skin doesnt get breakouts, because it evidently does.
  9. Worth a try i guess, let us know how you get on. I would try it myself but if my mum found me with a tube of preparation H it would be a tad embarrasing.
  10. u can find it at drugstore.com at $7 a tube u get 1oz of the stuff so its quite expensive compared to dans bp gel. never tried it myself so i cant comment on its effectiveness. worth a shot i guess.
  11. This sounds really strange, although i have found that underlying acne purges with the use of light therapy. That may be an explanation. Also, it takes a good 2 months for the blue light to kill off enough p.acne's to clear you considerably. It's eradicating a colony of bacteria. Although you were clear, you stopped BP use which was keeping the acne at bay. When you stop that use, the acne returns. These lights wont kill it straight out, so you're breaking out. I personally would suggest
  12. week 3 Starting to break out as bad as i were before starting the CSR, so therefore im going to use both BP and the blue/red light on my face until these flare ups reside, then come off the BP. going to keep doing this until the 12 week period is up and see if my skin can cope with the lights and not BP. I just hope that using BP isnt hindering the effects of the lights. Anyways every morning and night i Wash face with a gentle soap-free face wash. Wait for skin to dry before using the lamps fo
  13. How many people have been able to stay 100% clear using these lights?
  14. If the derm wont perscribe it, just tell him you have tried countless products in the past, with no results, that you have been severly depressed for a long time and are considering suicide. Im sure he'll perscribe it then. Reguardless of how severe your acne is, persuade him that acne has severly affected your life and you just want it to end. Acne effects us all differently, he/she will know this and perscribe it you.
