  1. I'm not sure I'm going to smear this stuff on my face....but I wanted to highlight the fact that finding TRUE CINNAMON in the USA is pretty damn hard. You gotta go to Wholefoods or the internet and look for "Ceylon Cinnamon". I honestly believe that Cassia needs to be labeled Cassia. Sprinkling the Indonesian Cassia powder labeled "Cinnamon" at Starbucks ruins my coffee. Its gritty, bitey, and just doesn't go right with coffee. True Ceylon Cinnamon is fragrant, doesn't bite, adds a heavenly sc
  2. If you have existing stuff under the skin, it all comes out after a session of PDT. The acne will return honestly. Photo-dynamic Therapy for acne is a bust. I've had four sessions, and the acne did go away for a short period of time, but it is very temporary. What will be longer lasting is the increase of age the skin will show - this stuff really increases the age of the skin from what I've noticed. I paid out of pocket to a derm @ Rolling Hills Estates in Palos Verde - around 500 to 750
  3. Yes it does cause skin aging, BUT how much depends on genetics, period of use, and BP strength. Really, everything causes skin to age - sunlight, oxidation chemicals, and ACNE! I think Acne causes worse aging than BP alone, due to the repeated stretch of the skin from cysts, the scars, and the healing time from damaging cysts. It doesn't keep this guy down:
  4. In my personal experience - yes. From a scientific standpoint, BP causes oxidative stress on the skin because it spams out free radicals on the skin surface. Kinda of like the same effect from a lot of sun exposure. Photodynamic Therapy will also age the skin - from my personal experience. I think Photodynamic Therapy caused the most skin aging from any treatment I've tried. BP isn't too bad.
  5. Hello Kristin, I didn't mean to upset you. Me stating that BP causes premature aging is based on anecdotal evidence that I experienced..... Doing a quick search yields a lot of information though:
  6. My history: 1.) Acne started @ 13. Currently 28 2.) Been on 3 cycles of Accutane @ 6months each - acne goes away during regimine but returns a few months after. 3.) Tried multiple sessions of Photodynamic Therapy - acne is burned off, but it doesn't last. 4.) Have tried Dan's regimine My findings: 1.) Acne prone. A daily regimine and vigillant habits will prevent new acne flares. No "quick fixes. 2.) Dan's regimine wasn't enough for my face. Didn't do enough to prevent. Caused issues: a

  8. Lol ok I will post them weekly then, but I will continue to have worded updates everyday, just to keep all you die-hard fans in suspense! :D Pics up every sunday from now on, or if I feel like it, on a weekday; after all this is my log and I make the decisions round here!
  9. This person didn't suffer from acne until they were 20. It seems like it's some clogged pores. Nothing huge and cystic or scar forming yet. They're over-reacting and haven't lived with it for as long as some of us have.
  10. A good mineral makeup? Jane Iredale - recommended by almost every dermatologist I've been to. http://janeiredaledirect.com/product_PureP...SPF+20_6592.htm I like their pressed foundation. Acts as a good concealer and sunscreen.
  11. Anyone who asked. Who do I care knows, when I had a face full of large cysts? Acctually, I used it all the time when I was late to high school to avoid detention: 'why are you late today?!' "Sorry. I was getting my daily Isotretinoin injection..." 'oh. ok.' They never even questioned what it was lol.
  12. As a long time cystic acne suffering, all I can say to you is: wtf. We should all be as lucky. Why don't you just get a chemical peel? Your pores just getting blocked up. Not washing it isn't going to help, but hey - it's your life.
  13. Acne is so weird. I'm 27 and still have facial acne. My back acne ended after teenage years, and I never ever got any chest acne at all. Just freakin weird how differently this weird ass disease effects us.
  14. Yes. I don't think I'm using enough. How long does it take you to down the whole tube? How long have you been using it? Is it .1 percent? I've been on .5% cream for over a year, but I didn't start using it right until 6 months ago. It takes a little over 1 month to go through a tube. Luckily, I have decent medical insurance.
