  1. Ive been 10mg accutane for 4 months, ive noticed great improvements, i basically have like no pimples or get any pimples anymore. But i still have like red marks and what seems like pimples under the skin. Will these go away by the end of the course?
  2. Accutane must be easier to get in Australia then other places. Walk into derm, he checks out my acne, sees that its widespread but nothing severe (its on my back/chest, all over my face). Prescribes me 4 repeats of 20mg x 60 accutane pills. Tells me to get a blood test, did that straight after, and started same day. To easy, he explained how accutane can do wonders for peoples skins and everyone he's prescribed it has had nothing but success. Cant wait to finally have clear skin in a fe
  3. im kinda in the same boat as you, nothing else has worked for me, going to tell the derm when i see him im sick of wasting my time with other prescriptions that dont work, and id like to try accutane.
  4. Wow your skin sure did clear up real good, any side effects? I'll hopefully be getting accutane prescribed in a months time
  5. Ive booked an appoitment for a derm, going to get accutane prescribed. The cost is about 185 and we get back about 100dollars. So 85dollars to see a derm.
  6. Yes quickly go to doctor and get a referral to see a derm, accutane asap.
  7. pics of acne? Epiduo was usless for me, and so were antibiotics, id say my acne is moderate, im going on accutane, i know the side effects but there are too many positives like acne never coming back again.
  8. ur pores dont look very good tbh, they look very open, and ur skin looks oily...in coming acne. If you are worried go to a doctor and get prescribed something like benzyol peroxide gel.
  9. I wish i had this mindset when i was told i should go on accutane when i was 16. I wish more than anything in the world i never went on that drug I've highlighted two points that are conflicting. You're still on the drug(and only for 3 months too) and thus have no way of knowing that it has worked for you, yet you are saying that it's the only thing that will work? Again you've been on it for three months, so there's no way you could know if you've experienced any of the worst side effects y
  10. Im just curious i hear alot about acne being caused by oily skin, can oily skin cause excessive sweating also? Im also going to be on accutane soon which is meant to prevent oily skin. Tbh i wouldnt know if had oily skin or not i just assume i do.

  12. procative is a waste of time, proactive would probably only help you if you had 1 regualr small pimple, however id class yours as moderate and can see youve seem to have had acne for a while, its not magically going to go away on its own without good treatment, i highly recommend accutane, people seem to always hate on the side effects but look up accutane on youtube its not so scarey.
  13. your in same situation as me, ive tried all different prescription gels and antibiotics, nothing. Recently got a referral to see a dermatologist, ive wasted too much time on useless treatments, im asking for acctuane.
  14. Accutane isn't just some drug you jump into. I'm not saying that she shouldn't consider it, but she should also read up on the risks carefully and completely understand them before taking it. I say this as somebody who had a very bad experience with the drug. Just curious what your longterm side effects were? Reduced libido, scarring, eating food has become chore rather than a pleasure and i'm pretty sure my liver has been damaged from the drug. They're just the physcial effects that i notic
