My skin was bumpy a few months back so my doc prescribed me .025% Retin-A gel which cleared me skin pretty well. I stopped using it for a couple months and now I can see that my skin is starting to get bumpy again so now my doc prescribed me Tretinoin Cream which is 0.1%. I don't know the difference between gel and cream. I'm looking at the label: Retin-A Gel: Tretinoin .025% Tretinoin: Tretinoin .01%

I NEED to get outta here
CamoFace replied to thEneXtChaPter's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
Why don't you packback Europe? A friend of mine was in a similar situation as you. He left home at the age of 18, spent 4 years abroad different countries; Russia, eatern Europe, Israel, etc. He worked here and there to support himself. Now he's 23 and going back to school to study law. Although he's behind in studies among other college students, he really stands out as being wellspoken and welltravelled. Not to mention he picked up several languages. Take advantage of your US passport while it -

I don't ever see Jews with acne. None of my Jewish friends have acne. Sometimes I think it's their kosher diet. -
Drugs to help life move along
CamoFace replied to STURZ10's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
Antidepressants are good short term but bad long term. Since you can't take antidepressants forever, once you get off of it, you will have serious withdrawal issues and you're usually worse than before you had taken the drugs. -

Quoted for truth. Best advice on org for a while yet. -
Unfortunately, there aren't many females in the engineering field. I think most people your age are either going to school or just partying. My friend is also an engineer. He just turned 24, bought a new Benz and he's lonely as fuck. http://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/ Check out the community section. Join a club and learn something new. I was in a writer's club briefly last year and they really helped me with some of my English papers.

When you're in class, you shouldn't be talking to the person next to you. I suppose it's a small class and if he can make out what you're talking about, it's probably disruptive. I've never heard of any teachers like this, especially college level. If that kind of shit was happening in my school, several suits would be filed against the school.

Just can't stop crying right now
CamoFace replied to kanmi's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
If chemical meds isn't your thing. Look into homeopathic medicines. Acupuncture, massage therapy, yoga groups, mushrooms, etc. Occupy yourself with productive hobbies like gardening. My shrink said growing plants is a wonderful healing experience because you have something to wake up to everyday and see the growth of your labour. If you have a backyard, I would consider going to Home Depot, OSH, etc and have them teach you about gardening. Surround yourself with positive people which means awa -

I fantasize about doing better than everyone in my classes (which I am btw except for 1). I fantasize about being able to cook gourmet meals for my friends. I fantasize about designing a beautiful garden with a fish pond and many exotic flowers. I fantasize about travelling the world and seeing its treasures while I'm young. I fantasize about about having children and reading them the same books that I've enjoyed when I was little. Sometimes I fantasize about holding my future spouse in my arms,

In my opinion, skin is more sought after than body. Most Americans are either out of shape or overweight but they can still be attractive being well groomed and having great complexion. In my experience, a lot of students from my school with mediocre bodies but great complexions are just as desirable as those with Kelvin-Klein bodies. When it comes to people with acne, it all depends on the severity.

Moving to another country
CamoFace replied to ronnie_bb's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
After college, I'm going to live in Israel for 6 months, St. Petersburg for 6 months, Moscow for 6 months, Germany for 6 months, Thailand for 2 months, China for 2 months, Japan for 2 months. I'm American and I really don't want to visit another English speaking country like Britain. Plus, I think Russian women are sexiest among Europeans. -

what is beauty?
CamoFace replied to arabianlights's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
I read an article about Iran being the "nose job capitol" of the world because Iranian women are really taken in by Hollywood noses and since their nose is one of the few fleshy attributes allowed for public view, they really need have a nice nose. I frequently see middle eastern girls on campus and I have to say that they're absolutely gorgeous. Haha, I don't want to digress but this Kazahk girl in my school could easily pass for Miss World. -
I have nightmares about acne
CamoFace replied to laura lou's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
Wow, I hate to break this to you but that's a really bad sign. It means acne is constantly on your mind and these thoughts will definitely exacerbate your acne. You need to keep yourself busy with school, activities, hobbies and friends and get your mind off petty things like pimples. Stay away from mirrors and clear your thoughts! You have no idea how powerful your mind is. -
Women in position of authority and a lot older than my age (21). Usually my teachers, doctors, friend's moms, etc. I mean I do find girls my age attractive as well but that's not really my fantasy. If my calc teacher told me to stay after class and service her, I'd do it in a heart beat. I've always had a thing for Senator Hillary. I regard her as the most magnificent and personable female politician. Authority runs deep in her voice. I would love to work for her.

Nice Features vs. Nice Skin
CamoFace replied to NoHopeLeft's topic in Emotional and psychological effects of acne
The pictures you've seen on these forums are arguably just the people with good features. I'm sure there are more people with acne and not so attractive features. Most people with good features that I know of seem to have good skin. -
They do look at you if you have acne!
