  1. My skin turned out just like yours did. The redmarks are gone, only the pores and indents remain. I'm going to get treatment for the indents, but that's not till next year. My doc says I can't get any type of surgical treatment till a year passes from when I stopped accutane, which means I have to wait till March 05. No biggie, I feel fine the way I am, it's just a couple of noticeable scars.
  2. Congratulations bro! I started accutane in September and finished it in March. It's great! I'm acne free now! I'm just waiting to get treatment, maybe a couple of sessions of dermabrasions.
  3. Yes I'm finally done with Accutane!! After six months being in the treatment, today was my final day of taking accutane, and it was also my last day visiting the doc. I must say, I am 100% satisfied with the results. The results are near perfect. I'm so happy!!
  4. Tommorrow I'm getting my last lab done. Yay =D> . Then on Tuesday I'll have my last monthly meeting with my doctor and I'll be done with accutane!! I can trully say that the treatment has done it's job. I am now acne-free . Oh hey btw happy, sorry for not answering your question in a more timely manner. I've been told that if you've missed taking accutane for 2-3 days, then it wouldn't really be much of a problem, 10 days is a lot though. Why does your doctor make you stop takin
  5. Well since I've been on accutane, my nose has been producing more boogers. They're crusty and humungus. They're hard to pick. I'm serious . I told my derm about this he thought it was funny. Well it's nothing harmful, but it's just a pain picking them. It's also embarassing when boogers start to fly out of my nose during conversations. #-o
  6. Holy crap I haven't written on this log for a while. I guess because nothing's changed since month 3. I'm now 5 months into it and going on my 6th and final month on accutane. Woohoo! It's done wonders. I don't recall my face this clear in years. I'm just hoping that after my treatment, my skin doesn't get oily again. Any side-effects? Yeah I still have very dry skin, which is a good thing! I treat it with a product made by Oil of Olay, called Complete. It's a facial moisturizer
  7. Any facial moisturizer is good for you. Just make sure it says "Non-Comedogenic" on it. That means it's oil-free and it won't clog your pores. I've been on accutane for 5 months, going into my 6th, and I've been using Oil Of Olay Complete. It comes in a little bottle and it costs about 3 bucks at Wal-Mart. I've used it for 5 months and the darn thing is still about 1/4th full. It's also scent-free, which is nice.
  8. I've been taking 80mg a day for the past 5 months now. I'm going into my 6th(and final) month. Yay. Yes I am ZIT FREE. I have not had a pimple for about 3 months now. I started clearing up during month 2. Luckily I didn't have breakouts during my start-up weeks. Accutane is great, I wish I would have learned about it sooner.
  9. I use the Clearasel Daily Face Wash (Oil Free), and I also use Oil Of Olay "Olay Complete". There's different types of these Olay face creme, I got the one that's has UV defense and is SPF 15, which I use because Accutane makes me more sensitive to the sun. Best part is, it's non-comedegenic, which means it wont clog your pores and leaves your face smooth. It's a small bottle that costs $4 at Wal-Mart, and I've been using it for 3 months now and it's great. You should give it a try.
  10. I began to see significant improvement within 2 months. Before accutane my face was VERY oily. Halfway through my day I would rub my hands on my face and my hands would be covered in oil, almost like I just rubbed baby oil on it. Now, my skin stays oil-free. It stays looking refreshed throughout the day. After 1 month on accutane, I started drying up really bad. My face and lips would be peeling from dryness. I got lotion and lip moisturizer to solve that. Now, 3 months into my treat
  11. Day 75 Wow, I haven't been on this board for a while. Well I guess I've been really busy. Anyways, my skin is great!! My psychy is still the same, 'cept I guess I have more confidence and better self-esteem. My face isn't as dry as it was getting before. I guess it's the moisturizer I've been using on. I guess I'm halfway through the threatment. Can't wait till I take my last accutane pill.
  12. Well I just posted some stuff on my log about this. I'm 2 months into my medication. I'm 155lbs and on 40mgX2 a day. My face was very VERY oily before accutane, about a month into my dosage, my face was completely oil-free!
  13. Day 42: Hey thanks, I'll take your advice. Next time I go to wal-mart I'll pick up some of those cetaphil stuff. I was going to get them but I opted for the Olay stuff. As far as chapstick, yeah I have this medicated vasoline product that my derm gave me when I got my monthly blood check up. It's working great. I really have to stress the fact that my oil secretion has been depleted to nill. It's great! Usually when I come home from a hard day's work, my face would be SOOOO oily. I
  14. Day 41: Hey no problem buddy! As long as my post helps atleast 1 person, I'm happy! Anyway, I'm on my second month and it's great! I've found out that my skin doesn't dry up as much when I drink a lot of water. Although I still need my moisturizer and lotion, drinking a lot of water helps a lot! I've noticed that my nose is creating more boogers lately. During the end of the day, my nose would be filled with gold! It's sick! Has anyone experienced this also? My skin is smoother now
  15. Hey good luck man. I'm also on 40mgx2 a day also. Make sure to drink a lot of water. I've found that drinking a lot of water will ease the dryness that your skin will experience. I'm on my second month on accutane and it's great! It's clearing up my skin fast! My skin used to secrete so much oil, but since I've been on accutane, my skin looks more refreshed! Make sure the moisturizer you're using wont clog your pores. Make sure it has somewhere that it's Non-comedogenic that means it won
