  1. My skin is improving. My regimen is the following: In the AM, I used Cetaphil oil control foam wash, followed by Epiduo. Also, I take Bactrim twice a day by mouth. Go to my profile if you want to see my before pics. They were pretty disturbing lol

    My Stupid Acne!

My acne came back with force! It's moderate to severe. Any thoughts?
  3. Hello everyone, I hope all of you are having a great day. Let's all hang in there. I know this acne stuff is frustrating. Quick question: Has anyone heard of BACTRIM? I had a dermatologist appointment today and he took me off doxycycline. He said BACTRIM is a bit stronger. If any of you have taken this drug before please let me know what you thought of it. I'll do more research in the meantime. All the best, Montezz Allen
  4. I'm going to school to be a broadcast journalist and I have acne. What a bad combination, smh.
  5. Hello all, I hope everyone's hanging in there. I'm trying! Acne is so frustrating! Anyway, I just have a question. My daily regimen is the following: Cetaphil Daily Facial Wash, 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and Epiduo. I take doxycycline by mouth. According to The Regimen, I'm supposed to leave the benzoyl peroxide on my face after I clean it with the Cetaphil Daily Face Wash. I usually wash it off. Here's my question: I'm supposed to apply Epiduo after I wash my face with the 2.5% benzoyl
  6. Yeah, bro. That's just hyperpigmentation. Your skin is definitely going in the right direction. They'll fade with time. Just keep using your regimen if it continues to work, and you'll be fine!
  7. You're absolutely right! It could be worse. Although, I think my skin looks horrible. It's clearing up, but still ... I haven't had flawless skin since I was 16 years old. But it's all good. God is good! It could be worse like back in my undergraduate days.
  8. Wow! Thank you! That means a lot to me. Sometimes it can be hard to look at yourself as handsome when you have a face full of zits. Today isn't the day, though. It's my birthday and I refuse to let acne stop me from having fun! F this acne! lol
  9. I know right!! Thanks, I really appreciate it. I know my skin won't be completely clear by tomorrow, but I can deal with the way it is right now.
  10. Hello all! Here's an update: I added Epiduo to my regimen about a week ago and using that in conjunction with the rest of my regimen is working wonders for my skin. I've used Epiduo before, but stopped using it after I moved to Chicago for graduate school ( I hade to find a dermatologist). I have moderate acne. It's on my forehead, both cheeks and chin -- sometimes I get the big pumps on my nose, right between the eyes. Sheesh! My regimen consists of the following: Cetaphil Dail
  11. My skin is just as oily. It remains that way no matter what I do! I guess we should try Vitamin D supplements. I heard it may decrease how oily your skin is.
  12. Hello. Quick update! I decided to tweak my regimen. I lacked a gentle cleanser before. I also decided to stop using the 2% salicylic acid Oxy Pads. So, this is my regimen now: Cetaphil non-comedogenic daily face wash, 2.5% benzoyl peroxide wash (via Proactiv Plus), epiduo and doxycycline pills. I moisturize with Pro Active Plus's green tea moisturizer. Hopefully this works! What other benzoyl peroxide face wash can I use? That's 2.5%? Once my proactive face wash run out I'll nee
