cetaphil no water, please read
Joker replied to wb's topic in Over-the-counter acne medications and products
I've actually been pretty happy with the results using the cetaphil/no water regimen so far. I've had very few pimples, and my skin feels like it's getting back into a normal state after being bombarded by topicals for so many months/years. I've been doing it almost 2 weeks. There has been some dryness, but nothing major. I imagine some good non-comedogenic moisturizer would fix that though -
FINALLY!!!! Something that works!!!!

When you remove the Cetaphil, you just pat it off gently with a washcloth or tissue, you don't smear it around. The product to use is called Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It's white with a blue label. It's NOT the one for oily skin. -

Anybody else trying this? It sounds like it has potential and it's super-easy. I think I'm going to give it a shot. -
I've been on this regimen for just over 3 weeks now. At first, I broke out, then by week 2, I was really clear. Unfortunately, things seems to be getting worse. I've gotten some bad pimples that past week or so. I'm really hoping they'll go away, because I'm so sick of looking for new treatments, and this one is so simple. Has anybody else had problems with this regimen, or is it all 100% success?

I thought I would share my experiences on this regimen so far. The first 10 days or so were pretty bad. It was among the worst I've broken out in a while. However, I don't want to jinx anything, but I've just finished my second week, and things seem really good! I haven't gotten any real breakouts; just the odd little pimple here and there, but they fade quickly. Plus, the exfoliator gives your skin a great texture. I'm probably about 85-90% clear now! My advice would be to stick wit

I'm approaching week 3 of the Acne Cure, and so far, I haven't had great luck with it. However, I have made one change the past couple of days that seemed to help. Maybe it will help you too, Introvert. I was following the instructions to the letter, but I always left the SA and GA on a little longer than a couple of minutes (say, 7 minutes or so). I thought longer was better, but now I'm beginning to think that too much exposure can cause irritation, so now I leave them on for no more tha

All those who broke out on Acne Cure..

I think a lot of people are having the same experience as you on the Acne Cure; myself included. Apparently, it is normal, and should subside within the following week(s) Good Luck! -
Acne Cure Issues - Please Help!

Introvert - Thanks so much! That was my main question; about the watering down of the other products. I've been doing it the way you explain it, so hopefully it will all work out. Today, I'm happy to say that I didn't get any new spots (so far), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Good luck with your Acne Cure, and hopefully we will all get through the acne already. Peace, Joker -

I just have a question about how you guys are doing the Acne Cure, because there's a step I'm not too clear on. Are you guys wetting your face, then watering down your BP and GA in your palm? It says to apply the GA and the BP using the "identical application technique" as the SA; but I'm not sure if that's what he means. Thanks. -

Thanks everyone for your replies! It's good to know I'm not the only one not experiencing a dramatic clearing in a few days as many people on the boards seem to be. I think I'm gonna stick it out until the end, just in case things do turn around. It's just so frustrating because I started clearing up, and then the whole situation switched around.... Anyhoo, let me know how you guys are doing and I'll try to keep everyone posted. thanks! -
Hey there, I've been doing the Acne Cure regimen for 9 days now. I've tried to follow it to the letter. The first few days, my face started clearing nicely and my skin texture started to improve. I was thrilled. Then, around the one week mark, things went downhill. Every day, I've gotten one or more bad pimples. My face now looks worse than ever! Has anyone had the same problems? I'm using Oxy deep pore facial cleanser (2% Salicylic) Neostrata 8% glycolic

I use the cetaphil daily facial moisturizer with spf 15. It's not greasy and works well. Recommended. -
Ice packs for Acne Cure
Joker replied to skye's topic in Over-the-counter acne medications and products
The straw was a great idea! I used one of those fat bubble tea straws and it worked perfectly. Another good ice pack I just discovered is to go and buy one of those big bags of frozen peas. It works great and is much cheaper than those gel packs. Good luck, Joe
