  1. Okay, maybe I wont be uploading photos tonight. I seem to have run out of room to upload. I will probably put the photos in adobe in a few days and post!!!
  2. DAY 50: I have meant to write in here so many times and never get around to it! Sorry I have been so busy. Skin update: NO ACTIVES!!! YAYA! However, there are many scars left behind (both red marks and what I think are icepick scars) and a few bumps under my skin. Can anyone tell from my photos what type of scaring I have? It is strange- when under natural sunlight my skin looks rough like sandpaper... wondering if this could be many time icepick scars?? Other annoying side effects: DRY L
  3. DAY 11: (NOTE: around Day 4 I had a MAJOR initial breakout. I am not sure if this was due to stopping my BP and medicated cleanser, or due to the Accutane but either way NOT PRETTY). Today was the first day in SOOOO long I went to work without foundation and felt good about myself. My skin still has as many actives, still as many red marks. BUT it has NO OIL, and my pores that were once large appear to have disappeared! All of the blackheads on my nose and cheeks are COMPLETEY GONE. My skin l
  4. Day 3 Photos... Here they are. I will try to take some ones tomorrow in the day light (can't see how bad it is in these photos... maybe I need a better camera?).
  5. DAY 3: Skin is getting BAD due to no longer using my medicated cleanser and benzyl peroxide each night! Skin is feeling very itchy. I will post pictures tonight!!! Happy St. Patty’s Day! I will not be having a green beer today as I am trying to not have ANY drinks this round of Accutane (This is will be very hard as I love my beer and occasional glass of red wine with dinner)!!! WISH ME LUCK! lol rw000: Thanks for the information about dosage! Good to hear! How long have you been on Accut
  6. DAY 1 My Story: I am 24 years old, 122 lbs. I have been on Accutane in the past: -When I was 16 years old. This put my acne into remission for 4 years! -When I was 22: Low dose for 4 months. Acne came back after 6 months -January 2009: 40mg/day for 6 months. I took myself off after 4 months- Big mistake. Should have finished full 6 months. Acne returned 6 months later. -Today I am starting again My doctor put me on 40mg/day for now and we will re-assess in 2 months time. I am planning on as
  7. Hi, My name is Tess, just saw your log and started to read through it! Congrats on the engagement (although it was a while back now, but still exciting). I will be starting a log on here... today is day 1 for my Accutane journey (I got engaged on Christmas day and actually decided to go on Accutane for my wedding as well). So excited for you and I will continue to check on your progress!!! Take care! Tess
  8. DAY 4 Ahhhhh my skin looks so badly. I know it will be worth it in the end but this is SO hard. Today my skin has many breakouts and it feels like all my already existing red marks are brighter! I have had no dryness yet, although my eyes seem to be very sore and dry (I also wear contacts which probably doesn't help). I have had a headache all day, but I am not sure if that could be from the Accutane. Also today I played my first soccer game while on Accutane, it wasn't bad, no injuries. I am m
  9. If you have already gone 28 days and you have had no initial breakout you are very lucky They usually say a breakout will occur within 1-3 weeks of starting treatment, and since you haven't gotten it yet I am guessing you may not throughout your whole treatment! Lets keep our fingers crossed!!! The blackheads: From my experiences with Accutane and from what I have heard about it I would leave the blackheads alone. By forcing them out you could cause scares, as Accutane makes the skin more pron
  10. Make-up while on Accutane?? I am wondering if wearing make-up will interfere with my Accutane treatment. Anyone have experience with this??? Thanks, Tess
  11. Day 3 Natural light photos... Okay I can't get the photos to work within this post for some reason... here are the two links (I am currently working on putting all of my progress photos on a website, which I will post within a few days): Pic 1 Pic 2 Okay here are the side views, under natural light. These give you a better idea of my skin. The one side didn't focus well (due to no flash), but it is similar to the other side. My skin feels the same, a few new pimples (may be initial breakout?
  12. DAY 1 I am so excited! Today I start my course of Accutane I am also impatient and cannot wait to start seeing results!!!! I will post photos in a week and I will try to get them in natural sunlight! YAYAY
  13. *MEaGAiN*: Thanks for the support! I will follow your Accutane log once you start!!! CrystalBaller: Thanks, I hope so too!!!
  14. Hi everyone. I have been on this site for many years...on and off. Short story: I have had acne since I was 12, went on Accutane when I was 16 (I am now 23) and my acne went into remission for a few years. Since it came back it has not been as severe, which I am thankful for. However, after trying many unsuccessful options since my last Accutane treatment, I have decided to go on it once again. I go for blood work tomorrow, and then I start my Accutane course once my doctor gets the results. I
