  1. Do you know what kind of imbalance you have? What type of birth control were you all. All of my problems basically started when I got my mirena removed. My skin was very nice before that too. And also after, but only while I was taking doxy and spiro... my skin was flawless.
  2. How did you keep your skin clear for 7 years? I did talk to my gyno about the sex issue. The gyno told me that it could be ovarian cysts, however the pain isn't always on the same side... She didn't look any further into it but did recommend that I get an ultrasound, if symptoms persists. My cellulite became worse when my acne became worse. I don't notice it getting worse before my period. However, my periods are so random, i'm not really sure. thank you for your response (:
  3. YES!!!! I wake up and my face is not red about 99.9 percent of the time. However, after being awake for an hour or (if I'm lucky) two, my face gets red again. I feel it also gets worse as the day goes on.
  4. Thank you for your reply... I do stay up late and wake up later. I will have to work on that. I also work out at least 4 times a week. Yoga/weights/running Do you know of anything else I could cook with, other then butter(so I could eliminate dairy)? I know oils are bad to cook with, apart from coconut oil. But I really don't like the way my good tastes with coconut oil. Apart from yogurt, which I can easily eliminate, that's the only dairy I eat on a regular basis. Can you be allerg
  5. Hey everyone! I thought that I could start a thread about food and hormones and how they affect your acne. I wish I could say, I would be giving information to help people, but I want to start this forum in order to gain new knowledge about this topic. I have a few questions that could help others as well. I hope. 1. Why don't I see an improvement in my acne, when I eat right? 2. Food helps to balance hormones... but are my hormones so messed up that it doesn't help me? 3. Is is
  6. Can anyone recommend a good toner? I have combination skin that tends to clog easily. I have hormonal acne as well and very irritated skin. I'd like the toner to: 1. have glycolic acid in it. 2. Not clog my pores 3. Not irritate my skin (I've used the proactive toner and it didn't break me out or irritate me. Is there something similar, but better for your skin?)
  7. How long have you been on spiro? What are your side effects? How long have you been 99.9 clear? What does zinc do for your acne? And Vitamin D? I have both of those in my medicine cabinet. What is Cleocin-T? And DML Lotion? Panoxyl? LOL
  8. Thanks for your reply (: I ordered a saliva hormone test, to be certain, but I think I finally except it. I have hormonal acne. I just wish I didn't have to rely on spiro. I've read horror stories about coming off of it. Well, I've lived that horror story I guess. lol.
  9. Thank you for your response!! (: I have an appointment with the dermatologist in a couple weeks. I'm going to ask to be put back on spiro again, I think. I was on it for over a year. At first it worked amazing. I was on it and doxy and my skin was flawless for 6 months. Not one outbreak. But after 6 months I started getting oily and red skin. I got off my antibiotic then, and only broke out a little bit. I stayed on spiro for another 6 months and the red and oily skin persisted. When I got of
  10. I hadn't picked at my face, before those pics.. That's just how my skin reacted to the pimples. Usually, my skin is so sensitive, the skin surrounding a pimple gets inflamed. That outbreak only got worse. It was crazy. Could you read my long reply that I just posted? It goes into detail with an update of my situation. I'd love to hear your feedback! I was wondering... This all started to get really bad when I went to stay with my grandparents to take care of them while my grandpa recovered from
  11. I'm sorry it has taken so long to reply. In reply to you all, I had not picked at my face before taking those pics... That's just how my acne is. Big and inflamed. When I get a pimple, the surrounding area becomes inflamed. So this is my update: I started eating healthy again. I eat lots of fruits and veggies. I avoid most processed foods. A little dairy here and there. The dairy doesn't seem to affect me. I'm totally gluten free. It doesn't effect me when I eat it though. Just want to
  12. I also posted this in a post I started In the rosacea section, but thought this forum was was more appropriate. Please help! Anyone!!! Read my other posts if you would like to get a back story. So I stopped caring... Or at least tried too. I ate whatever I wanted. for four whole weeks. No change in my skin. Didn't get better or worse. Still had persistent clogged pores on the sides of my eyebrows. And above my lip. But nothing got worse. I saw a new dermatologist. She just wanted to prescribe

Epoduo or something. She also recommended washing with bp. Same stuff different doc. I didn't try the epoduo stuff. However, I did start cleanings with bp three weeks ago. No im
