Update:I went out and bought Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture for Sensitive Skin and wow, what an improvement. I read many harsh criticizms of the Neutro products, leaving skin shiny/oily, etc and so far so good. No more burning. I suggest this product for anyone out there who might have experienced the same discomfort with the Cetaphil w/SPF as I did.
Ok, thanks guys. I guess I'll cough up the extra bucks and try switching to a different moisturizer. I was afraid that's what the problem was, but it's good to know a few others have had a similar experience. I'll look for the Neutrogena, thanks Chron and Brandy.
I have been on the regimen for about a month now, and am pleased so far with the results. However, although the bp itself does not irritate my skin, other than the flaking which I know is normal at this point, my skin burns after I apply the moisturizer. I am using cetaphil with SPF 15 which was one of the highly recommended moisturizers. Is it the SPF that is irritating my skin or is this still part of the "well known hardening effect?"
