  4. So you have been off BCP since Oct. and haven't had a period since then? They say it can take up to 6 months to regulate, so after that I'd make an appt. with your doc to see if they can do anything. I'm taking Vitex and drinking red raspberry leaf tea, but there other methods out there too. I just don't know anything about them (like natural progesterone cream).   6. I made my first green smoothie yesterday, it was pretty good! I used baby spinach, but kale is so cheap I'll find some uses for kale too. Most greens are so bitter, I have a hard time eating them even as salads or cooked. This is a perfect way to get those greens. Though I read that spinach has more nutrition in it if you cook it---anyone blanch their spinach first and then add it in?

  10. Adult acne is sometimes even more hard to deal with--because when you're young, it's "expected" you'll have some acne and you can tell yourself that you'll grow out of it. Mine comes and goes, when I try going off my many meds it gets really bad. I hate how many products I'm dependent on though, because it's a battle that can never be won, just fought.   12. I would LOVE to go off the pill. If I would have known what happens if I try going off it when I first started taking it, then I never would have gone on it! thanks for the tips though mandy, I will look into those when I try going off it again---which is....not for awhile, since I'm still a little scarred (emotionally and physically!) from that last attempt.
  13. Why does any disease exist? While I defintly consider acne a disease, I am certain one day there will be a cure, like someone else posted. Too bad I won't be around for it.....acne can be a good dose of sometimes-life-just-isn't-fair.

I make baked chicken all the time--I usually buy a big family pack of chicken and freeze them individually, then when I want one I take it out, let it thaw, and cook for one hour at 350 degree oven with some spices on top to give it some taste. There are tons of way you can bake chicken, you can marinade it overnight for lots of flavor and really moist meat.

  16. I put green grapes in the freezer and have those as a snack. Ideas for snacks are hard for me to think of, because it's so easy to grab something like a granola bar to take to class, so this thread should be helpful....sea salt and almond butter sound yum to cook with. Also, I love making pesto and my own hummus!

  18. I love peanut butter, eww that's so gross. Oh, and giving up dairy would be hard for me (yogurt, cheese I eat daily). Especially milk! But I've heard of nut milk you can make yourself, I might try that.
  19. that's great the paleo diet is working so well, as a lifestyle change and concerning acne. I'm trying a more natural way of eating (less manufactored crap!) and it's a slow process and I have a lot to learn, but it's a fun one to. Where do you do most of your shopping? I have a hard time finding things..... I've never heard of probiotics, will have to look into them.
  20. I like Joppa a lot, but I'm thinking of switching to Everyday minerals. It's so hard to find a good match for my skin, it's so pale and many light colored minerals look chalky on me. I love the sheer Finishing Silk by Joppa, it's excellent.
