  1. Wow, thanks for the compliments! If my face can go from having severe, aggressive acne, to a nice, clear complexion than there's hope for anyone! It's very humbling to look at my before picture and remember how terrible I felt back then and compare it to how great I feel now. I totally recommend Accutane for anybody out there that needs wants to stop the terrible effects (both physical and psychologically) once and for all.
  2. WOW! I realized it's been over two months since I last updated my log. I guess I've been getting lazy..but lots of changes have happened in my life in those two months. I have graduated college, moved, and looking for jobs while working part time. Anyway, as of June 5, 2007, I am off Accutane! It's still unbelievable that I have conquered acne. I always thought that I would have to deal with acne for the rest of my "youthful" years but now I can run my hand down my face and it just feels
  3. LabGirl, thanks for that info. I think I'll go to Wal Mart and check it out and go with my gut! Thanks all!!
  4. Thanks all, I'll consider all of them and see what works!!
  5. Hi All. I am all clear from Accutane but I still have red marks/blotchiness left over from my old acne. My derm said the redness should dissapate once I'm off (next month) but I need something for today. I still can't leave my house without makeup. I haven't been able to find a foundation that has good coverage and looks natural. So I need your help! What's the best out there? I don't want to pay a whole lot (I'm a poor college girl)..so within a good price range, tell me what you recomme
  6. Day 149 I realize I haven't updated in awhile. I'm about to start my last month of Tane! I have an appointment on May 3rd so this will the the last time to go in there and get a prescription. It's crazy that my journey is almost over. My face is looking great. Everything is smooth and the redmarks look better and better every day. I still have redmarks of course but I'm confident that they will disappear entirely after the course is over. That's what I hear...your best improvement comes
  7. Thanks for sharing your story! I am almost on my last month so I love to hear encouragement on how Accutane continues to perform miracles. Thanks and good luck!
  8. I've been dealing with this same exact problem. I wake up every morning to dry, crusty, bloody boogers. The best thing that I've found is to coat your nostrils with Vaseline. I use my finger because a Q-Tip doesn't coat it as good. I usually put it on before bed so my nose isn't as dry but it still bleeds a little bit.
  9. Your skin looks great! I'll be finishing up the very beginning of June so I'm hoping for lasting results as well
  10. I don't seem to breakout more so around that time of the month. I'll get a small little pimple on my face sporadicly - but it's barely noticeable and goes away fast. If I was in your situation, I'd wear makeup too. It's going to be harder to apply it out in the middle of the woods but I would just bring a concealer and foundation to wear (and a little mirror to apply).
  11. I highly doubt that you taking Accutane could affect him in any way. He won't assume any allergies just because you ingest the medication. The only things I can think of is either 1) if he's wearing a condom and he's not used to it then that can affect things and cause a reaction and 2) like everybody else said, you can't produce natural lubrication the same as you did pre-Tane and might need some lube.
  12. Day 131 Wow, I feel so bad that I haven't updated in awhile. Here's the update. I went to the derm on April 2 to get my new prescription. He decided to take me back down to 40 mg a day instead of the 80 mg I was taking. He didn't give a reason for doing this and my side effects haven't been any more severe than usual. But then again, I am a 110 pound female and taking 80 mg a day is quite a lot. I had some problems with my derm office and IPledge again this month. They forgot to put my r
  13. Hi. They give blood tests to monitor how your body is reacting to the medication (through your cholesterol levels) and as pregnancy test but I'm assuming you are a male so that would be irrelevant. But regardless, they need to take your blood every month and there's no getting out of it. I'm not a needle person either but the benefits of Accutane far outweigh my fear of needles. The best I can tell you to do is chew gum to relieve tension, don't look at the needle, and talk to the nurse whil
  14. Hey Mandy, from those pictures you definitely need Accutane. I don't see how the derm would be able to deny that to you! Just let him know that you have done research on Accutane and know all the risks and implications for taking it. Good luck..I really hope you get it. It has helped me out so much.
