  1. HORRIBLE SCARRING

I had bad acne, but when I was put on accutane the "oh it will get worse then better" routine... was HORRIBLE. I still have scars on my cheeks and temples that I know were from the implosion of the accutane. My doctor took me off it after a few months. THANK GOD! I was begging to be put on it, because the commercials made it seem like the holy grail. But It was horrible, huge mistake. Glad they took me off it.

  3. MANY USES

I LOVE apple cider vinegar. Remember it needs to be unfiltered to get more benefits. Its a great toner, cleanser, and pro-biotic shot. I use it as a toner primarily these days, but sometimes I make tea or a smoothie even and add a splash for the probiotic goods,. makes me feel pleasent. Read up on it. Its great! Will it cure acne?... Its a helpful addition in general... but you need to first learn what is causing the acne. If its an intestinal flora problem you might want to start with cle

I really like witch hazel. I mix it in the cleanser I make at home and spritz it on my face and cotton swab . Clean and refreshing.
  5. Clogged my poors

I had people suggesting all sorts of things. Anything with shea butter clogged my poors and made me feel greasy... and then I would not only breakout, but then also have black heads. shea butter is nice on every other part of the body, but I don;t like it on my face. ...
  6. Not a cure... just covers the problem.

Unfortunately.. .They kept me on this for YEARS! (high school) as soon as I stopped or if I didnt have it on hand my face would EXPLODE. Wasnt curing anything was only covering up the problem. Keep in mind these are also meds that are typically given to people to treat respitory infections. I wasn't sick..., I had acne! Later i learned my acne was triggered by food intolerance's. FOOD! Simple as that... I still resent not being more aware when i was younger and that the Doctors were as sh*tty

    Feels niice

    Feels niice

Every now and the I add baking soda to my facial scrub with Dr. Bronners Tea tree oil soap and it makes me face feel extra clean and soft. I am a fan. I'm glad to find what I thought was an experiment is actually a tactic a few others have tried as well (FYI, if you add a pinch to your toothpaste/ brush.. It makes your teeth feel extra clean as well!)
  10. Changing my diet did WoNdErS!

I struggled with acne for a really long time. Just as I hit puberty I went from having a few spots that just got worse. It was to the point where strangers would offer suggestions and point it out without my asking for their input. Just like the many others on this site, my confidence was shot. I learned not to look at myself in the mirror (glance at eyes only or hair basically), which I realized recently I still do! (Scars) Dermatologists loaded me with creams and antibiotics, which looking
