  1. I am scheduled to have my first microdermabrasion tomorrow morning at 9:00. I was just wondering if some of you who have had it could tell me what results I can expect. I am trying to remain realistic about the results. My acne scars aren't very deep, so I am hoping that they will be a little less noticable, what I am really hoping is that it will give my skin even tone all over. I have those slightly darker dots on my face from old pimples, and I feel that if I can get those to go away, alo
  2. Since he has posted his entire regimin on the CBS news website, I don't think that he is guarding this information with his life. It appears that he, like Dan, has found an effective way to treat acne and wants to share it. Besides, do you really think that a dermatologist of his stature is hurting for money and really needs to sell some books? No. He just wants to help.
  3. You are probably thinking what I was when I heard this: "doesn't hot open the pores and cold close them?" But I read somewhere that the purpose of the ice is to open the swollen pores. The ice reduces the swelling around the blemishes, allowing the bp to absorb better in problem areas
  4. As for icing your face, I can't put ice packs on either. I found a gel mask that you can heat or cool before applying, similar to eye masks that you have probably seen, only it covers my whole face. I keep it in the fridge and wear it for the 10 min at night. Very relaxing because it's cold, but not frozen. If you can't find a full face mask, I have seen several people post that they just use 2 or 3 of the eye masks to cover their faces.
  5. The Nature's Cure website says that the pills contain micro doses of acne causing substances that stimulate your body's natural defenses against acne. So if you took a truck load of them at once, you would break out something fierce. It sounds kind of like a vaccination to me. I have had success with the pills also, but I think the best thing about Nature's Cure is their BP cream, which I think is the best on the market. I like it 100 times better than neutrogena, because I feel like it abso
  6. Walgreens does have the Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash. It is 2% SA http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jht...43&CATID=100306
  7. I don't know about the items you listed, but this is what I use http://www.walgreens.com/store/product.jht...08&CATID=100738 It is the generic brand of glycolic acid that everyone is talking about. It is cheap, and I love it. My skin feels great.
  8. I was thinking of getting microdermabrasion to lessen the appearance of my scars and even skin tone. It seems like a good idea since I can get it for around $80-$125. Anyone who has had it, did it make significant difference in your scars and skin tone? Thanks.
  9. ...this is the result of the glycolic acid uprooting the deep clogs. That is really bad now, but it seems like to me that it will be a major help in preventing future breakouts. I have been on the cure for 3 days now and haven't had any breakouts yet, but when I do, I'm just going to try to suffer through them, hoping it is a sign of good things to come.
  10. I did not ask how long it would take me to be completely clear. I did not ask if all my acne should be gone overnight. I did not ask if I would be able to run faster or jump higher. What I DID ask, was "how long until I see results?" That means ANY results. ANY clearing whatsoever. I want to know when I can expect to see a SMALL change, and the only reason I ask this is because I have heard people say that they saw a difference in 24 hours. The doctor who wrote the book said that you c
  11. I just started the acne cure about 3 days ago and am a little disappointed that I haven't seen any major results yet. True, I have not had any new outbreaks, but I was really looking for the blackheads and red spots to go away quickly. Those of you who have had major success on the acne cure, abou how long did it take to get significant results?
  12. I don't know what the deal is with my skin, but I have used Dan's reminen and now just started the acne cure. I have not had great results with either, because, rather than my skin getting dry and flaky like everyone complains of, my skin gets oily as soon as I apply any type of moisturizer. Right after I apply bp or finish washing my face, my skin feels clean and well conditioned, but the INSTANT that I apply moisturizer, it feels dirty and greasy. I have been using cetaphil facial moisturizer
