  1. I couldn't tell for sure by looking at the pictures because they were a bit unclear, but if these white bumps never go away and do not have anything you can squeeze out of them, I think what you have is a type of acne scarring called follicular macular atrophy or perifollicular elastolysis. You can find some info about it on the internet. I have this also on my shoulders and back from years of dealing with acne and severely oily skin. If this is what you have, I feel for you. I have research
  2. I think what you have is a type of scarring unfortunately. I have it too. All over my my upper arms, top of shoulders and shoulder blade area on the back. You can look up follicular macular atrophy. I think there is a couple other names for it as well. I have researched a lot and have never found anything that will make it look better or go away. It sucks.....
  3. Yes, it has caused problems in my relationship. I have been married for 12 years, but still I will not let my spouse seem me naked and hardly ever without makeup on because of my acne and scars. I have scars on my face, back and shoulders from previous acne and still get moderate acne on my face. My husband is wonderful and says my scars and acne do not bother him, but they bother me immensely and I feel ashamed. I just can't seem to get over it.
  4. I beat you all...... 21 years and counting. I am 33 and started getting acne at 12.
  5. I was looking through youtube the other day and found some videos on a place in NY called The Acne Practice. They have a home version of the routine that you can do that is the same as if you went to the doctor yourself. They seem to be very expensive products, but the videos that they show really are amazing. Horrible acne cleared in 6 weeks. I cannot find out what exactly is in the products though. So, has anyone else seen these videos or used this product?
  6. Does anyone else find it difficult to love and trust God when you have acne? I was raised a Christian all my life. I am 33 years old now and STILL have acne. My skin is STILL incredibly oily, so oily that within an hour of applying my makeup my face looks greasy. Anyway, I have just found it very hard to think that God is very loving and watches over me when my face is a mess all the time. Then I feel guilty for feeling that way. My son just turned 12 and is going through puberty so now he has a

  8. Sorry to tell you, but there really is nothing you can do to treat them. They are actually normal and are not harmful in any way. Ya know, they might actually add pleasure for your significant other. Just explain what they are. If the person you are with loves you, then they won't care. They are not contagious so you cannot pass them onto anyone. You might look at healthboards.com Use the search option and you will find tons of other men and women that have them on their genitals or lips.
  9. You could have fordyce spots. These are harmless and many men and women get them on their lips and private parts. They are oil glands. You really can't get rid of them, but they aren't anything serious.
  10. I just wanted to say that I can sure understand how you feel. I am almost 32, and I still have acne. I've had it since I was 12. When I was younger, I mostly had whiteheads/blackheads and oily skin. Nothing too severe. But ever since I had my two children, I deal with cysts and extremely oily skin. I almost always have at least one cyst on my chin at any given time. These things are huge and no makeup will cover them up cause they stick out and are usually right on my jaw line so I end up
  11. I just wanted to comment that you might want to be sure you aren't allergic to apple cider vinegar before you apply is straight to your face. After reading all the benefits for acne I tried some and the first day I used it as a toner I didn't have any sort of reaction. Then, the second day I tried it, my face turned bright red, started stinging/burning and broke out in tiny bumps all over - kinda like contact dermatitis. You might want to try it only on active pimples and not all over your fa
  12. Thanks to those of you that replied. I have never had irregular periods, but I do get PMS. I also have very oily skin, and get cystic acne around my jawline so that's why I thought the Saw Palmetto might work. I will probably try the Chaste Berry Tree and see if that helps balance out my hormones. Thanks again.
  13. Hi, I've posted here a couple times before. I read up on Saw Palmetto, and decided to give it a try as I'm sure my acne is hormonal. I have incredibly oily skin, and every month right before my period, I break out in usually one to two cysts along my jawline. So, after my last period, I started taking one Saw Palmetto 160mg softgel in the morning, and one after dinner. These are the standardized ones. Anyways, I'm due for my next period in a couple days, and this time I've gotten 5 huge cys
  14. If it is an allergic reaction there is some over the counter eyedrops that will help stop the reaction and calm down the swelling. Visine makes drops called Visine Allergy Eyes. It has an actual anihystamine in the drops. It might sting for a minute especially if you've been rubbing your eyes, but they are the only thing that has helped me as I have pollen/sage allergies and just last week my eyes swelled up so bad I could hardly see. I put some drops in and within an hour or so the swelling
  15. Which do you think would penetrate into the skin better for cysts? Tea tree oil or 10% benzoyl peroxide? This is my first time posting. I guess I should introduce myself and give my acne background. I have had acne and extremely oily skin since the age of 12. ( I am now 30.) I have never gone to the dermatologist, but have tried many over the counter products. I tend to get blackheads on my nose and the crease in my chin, and large cysts on my jawline and bottom of chin. I also have some
