  1. I'm 5 months post tane as well except my skin has returned to being really oily and i'm starting to break out again =( I want to jump straight back onto it.
  2. I'm not talking about marijuana... I'm talking about normal cigarettes. Are we allowed to smoke whilst taking Roacc? What are the effects? Has anyone's derm condoned it? Is it as bad as drinking alcohol?
  3. OMG. That's so cheap. I'm paying about 32 per box and my derm visits are 160 per visit and my pill is about 65/3mths. It's so expensive!! I get hardly any back from medicare as well. I'm getting ripped off pretty bad. I'm seeing one from the eastern suburbs.. I got the roaccutane goodie gift pack too.
  4. I didn't experience a runny nose. Mine's the exact opposite. It's completely dry. No snot, no nothing.
  5. I've been on it for a couple weeks now. The only side effects I've experienced are nose bleeds. No cracked lips, no dry skin, no muscle aches or anything. How long should we wait to see results? I don't see any improvements
  6. As the title asks, do your cysts leave raised scars? mine do and I don't know how to get rid of them! I'd rather an icepick scar anyday... at least those are easier to treat. raised scars are permanent!
  7. I've got this raised scar on my nose at the moment from a massive cyst that i had about 2 months ago. they say roaccutane slows down the healing process. I dont know whether i should start tomorrow and see what happens or if i should wait for this to heal. i dont know what to do.
  8. I can't believe you guys ahve to wait. i just walked into the derm office and got a prescription on my 2cd visit after the blood test was finalised. it was so quick and easy.
  9. I'm starting in July. Got my blood test done today at my first derm appointment. Just need to go on the pill now.. I'm scared, but relieved!
  10. Why don't you see a different derm? If the one I'm planning to see in the near future rufuses to prescribe it, then I'm going to find a diff one. I dont care how many derms I have to go through to get a prescription
  11. How do they know if you're on the pill or not? What if you use condoms everytime? I'm sure condoms are just as effective in preventing pregnancy
  12. I admire your outlook. I never used to have a problem with my skin. it used to be just as bad back in highschool... but over the years, I've developed body dysmorphic disorder and the social anxiety, OCD and depression it comes with. It's very easy to type inspiring words, but extremely difficult to act upon it. If anyone else has BDD, you'll know it's a mental disorder. It's not easy to just snap out of things and just act confident. Acne isn't a competition. So what if one girl has 2 pimp
  13. Hey there, I don't know how much use this will be to you, but anyway.. I'm currently doing a course of microdermabrasion. I don't know whether it has helped my acne as I was prescribed doxycycline, differin, eryacne and isotrex at the same time. So i'm not sure whether it has been effective. But, I have noticed an improvement in skin tone and texture. My skin is softer and smoother. However, my acne scars are still there and my pores are still large etc. It hasn't made me breakout either. I'm
  14. This sounds like something I went through. One regretful night, I was standing in front of the bathroom mirror assessing my skin and picking at every little thing (as you do). I picked at this miniscule blackhead or something on my nose and it turned really red after that. The redness didn't subside and a few days later it began to hurt and change in texture. A week later, it was bright red, lumpy, painful and was a throbbing mess. A massive red, shiny cyst had formed on the middle of my nose.
