  1. I like your style. Nice work. In every mammal cell there is function called The PI3K/Akt signaling pathway, sometimes referred to as the mTOR pathway. The mTOR pathway is increased in patients with PCOS(1)Blood cholesterol is controlled by The mTOR pathway (2)Inhibition of the mTOR pathway is why the drug Metformin works in patients with diabetes (3)Inhibition of the mTOR pathway is used in several types of cancer treatments (4)Increased mTOR is seen in people suffering from obesity (5)Hyper a
  2. Ahh, OK...I understand the concern....I am not dismissing anything. I mentioned the points that I thought were important (i.e. natural flavorings, proprietary blends), but those points alone are not a reason to pass a bill that would alter other benefits that supplements provide us. You don't approve a bill if there is fault with it. Instead, you adjust the proposed bill so that your concerns are met, but they don't cause harm to the industry and most importantly...the consumer. As it is now
  3. I have no idea what supplements people are purchasing but if they are sold in a reputable grocery/health food store, they are labeled. The only catch is the "proprietary blend" which will list the ingredients but not give us a specific amount for each ingredient, instead you get a total amount. If CODEX were to become apart of the U.S. regulatory system, you could not take 100mg of Vitamin C at any frequency you choose because you are only limited to a certain number of pills per bottle. IF t
  4. Bill would force disclosure of ingredients and register with the FDA Dietary Supplement Firms Fight McCain That initial statement sounds relatively harmless, who doesn't want to know exactly what they are taking? Who takes a supplement without knowing what is in it? You are more likely to take a prescription drug in a white bottle with no indication of ingredients before you would take a supplement in the same dubious packaging. Although, you can always go online and find the ingredients of
  5. To this day, and I started avoiding dairy products over 7 years ago, I will still breakout if I consume a dairy product. I try not to do so, but sometimes when eating out you may still get caught (e.g. Tandori chicken..yummy but still marinated in yogurt, buttery flavoring...may have a milk protein, etc.). That said 99% of the time I will have a mucous reaction (i.e. evidenced by throat clearing) within minutes of consuming something with dairy in it so I usually know when it has happened, eve
  6. Howdy! This idea came to me a few months ago when I was reading up on quercetin. I've yet to try it myself, but today I will be purchasing a bottle of it combined with bromelian to see if it may help prevent any detox breakouts, as I am starting another detoxification and healing regimen. The fear with any program that may help acne, is that of breakouts. Minor ones may not be a big deal but the larger and more painful ones (cystic) tend to leave behind marks that take far longer to go awa
  7. Hi Quanta, I do not have a preference. I would go with the one that gives you the most Quercetin and Bromelian (with highest amt of GDUs) in the formulation (also pay attention to serving amount: 1 capsule, 2 capsules, etc.). Some products will show only quercetin on the bottle, but when you look at the back you will see that it also has the bromelian and vitamin C, so make sure you look at all possible products. While Vitamin C is helpful, it's the other two incredients you want to focus on
  8. Actually Virastop does contain enzymes to digest fats and carbohydrates. It's Candidase that is only protease and cellulase and nothing else. On the enzymedica website, they have a label viewer for each of their products if you'd like more info on what each of their products contains. When I was taking Digest Gold and Lypo, I was taking them with meals, 2 - 3 capsules per meal. Hi Lili, Thanks for sharing how you were taking the other two products. You were taking as directed, but of c
  9. Hi Lili, You mentioned several times that the Digest or Digest Gold enzymes only got you 75% clear? How were you taking those? With a meal, every meal? Or on an empty stomach before bedtime as you do with the ViraStop? For anyone that may be confused, you can take any of the enzymes to treat inflammation, among other conditions, in the body. They will all work as sytemic enzymes as long as you take them on an empty stomach and take the most effective dose for you. Where as, if taken wit
  10. Have you had IgG or IgA tested? Those are what determine the food intolerances which can cause chronic health issues, from my understanding. IgG and IgA were both negative. That rules out dairy and gluten intolerance. Hi Hesitation, There are currently 5 different types of immune reactions and only 4 types have antibodies you can search for. With regards to acne, IgG antibodies (Type III, Immune Complex Sensitivity) may present when there is an antigen OR a specific white blood c

  12. Hi gMarias, I am sorry to hear that there are some breakouts still. I have no idea how many people ViraStop could work for, I was simply offering two possibilities, though there could be more, for why there's an increase in acne from its use. The first was the die off effect (with 2 ways to deal with it, a 3rd would be natural anti-inflammatories to prevent the acne) and the second was that it may have increased yeast in the body. I posted a link in my post that discusses how this possib
  13. Especially 'insulinotropic foods, especially milk, dairy products and carbohydrates with high glycemic index' The classifications of 'western life style acne' and 'acne alimentaris' are interesting. These studies need to be added to the list in the clinical studies thread. Cordain talks much about this as well if you guys want more info. I find something interesting about the whole high glycemic index carbohydrates. If you notice Kitava, one of the populations Cordain writes about
  14. Howdy, First off, Lili I love your hypothesis that Virastop may be working to breakdown foreign proteins in the blood! The body will attack any foreign proteins that appear in the blood because, usually it's a pathogenic invader and the immune system is primed to stop this invader. Any person that is experiencing food sensitivities, whether an allergy or an intolerance, will react because of the protein that the immune system has tagged as an invader that must be destroyed. With regards to
