  1. Not to be rude, but you do know they're required to do this don't you? I guess you should've asked, but really it's their fault for not going over the effects of what they're prescribing you. Still, from now on, be sure to be clear on what it is. Interrogate 'em.
  2. Well, BP Gel doesn't seem to be the best for clearing nose blackheads, and these things can be quite obnoxious. Anybody gotta recommended method?
  3. Thanks for the reply Jessica I've been taking a break from the BP Gel, I've developed some pimples since then so I guess it was definitely doing the job. I will take all of your advice into consideration and hopefully I'll see some improvement here soon Thank you.
  4. I might try one of the Aveeno products. I've been taking a break from bp, been like a week.. still red in places. Looks like sunburn.
  5. Hello all. First of all, thanks for taking the time to read my post, and a special thanks to anyone that replies. I'm about a month into using Dan's regimen. I'm using a Purpose bar for cleansing/shaving, Acne.org's BP Gel, and Eucerin Skin Renewal. I am following the regimen as closely and accurately as I can. However, it seems even a month in, my skin isn't getting used to it. I'm still getting dry/flakey skin in places (mostly around mouth) and many red patches. I'm not talking red bumps tha
  6. I dunno, I have heard (and experienced) some bad things about Clearasil products. Does it have salicylic acid? Cori, I do need to lather, I need to shave.
  7. Thanks.. Spectrojel huh? I'd really like to use a cleanser that lathers, just to save me from adding something else to my regimen. Anything else recommended? Also, Cetaphil seemed to be just as irritating as Purpose, but like I said, maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance. Anyway, right now I'm giving the BP a break so I can let my face return to normal, then I will slowly begin getting back into it. Is this recommended, Dan?
  8. Thank you Dan and everyone else that has replied. I switched to Cetaphil's Liquid Cleanser early on, and had issues with that too. First of all, it doesn't lather much so I couldn't shave with it, and secondly, it seemed to be pretty drying too. Would Purpose's liquid soap be better? I've switched between that and their bar a bit but haven't noticed too much of a difference.. could just be I didn't give it enough time. Are there any other good cleansers you guys recommend?

  10. That's great and all, but this didn't exactly warrant a new topic, did it?
  11. thanks for the lone reply.. i dont know much about a vitamin a peel whats that like? thanks again.
  12. I'm pretty sure BP Gel is not alcohol based but I could be wrong. My skin has been irritated by BP also. I'm about to be going on my 3rd week, and things seem to be slowly improving. Hopefully eventually there won't be any pink/redness.
