  1. Dang, it's been almost a year since I've updated. Unfortunately, my face is acting crazy right now, and I do not know why. Right now I have a face FULL of dark spots. It looks horrible. I suffer from clogged pores moreso than pimples, but I have that awful habit of squeezing. You would think that I'd have learned my lesson by now. Here we go again!
  2. It has been two months since I last posted and I am still happy with my skin. I just started using a moisturizer again because sometimes my face is a little dry. I currently use Neutrogena Visibly Even w/spf 15. Alot of people may say that I have outgrown acne, but I don't believe that to be the case. I still get an occasional pimple. I also keep my hands off of my face and I wash my face twice a day with warm water and a clean washcloth. I think those two steps alone have made a big d
  3. Hi NHL, I just read your blog and it seems that what you are doing is working for you. I have tried some of EVERYTHING in the past. It just so happens that less is working for me right now. My skin is far from flawless, but my acne doesn't consume me like it used to. I am fairly happy with my skin right now. Good luck to you and I wish you continued success! :)
  4. It's been two months since my last post and my face is still looking pretty good. I wash my face morning and night with warm water and a clean washcloth. I rarely ever use a moisturizer, but when I do, it is a pea sized amount of jojoba oil. At night I use a little BP all over my face. That's it.
  5. Well, since my last post I have noticed a GREAT improvement in my skin. Basically I just wash my face with water and sometimes I apply a moisturizer, sometimes I don't, it depends on how my face feels that particular day. However, I always use BP at night. This is the best my face has looked in a long time.
  6. It seems ridiculous to say, but it is day 252. My options for dealing with my acne are very limited now, due to the fact that I am pregnant. My OB said that BP is considered safe to use while pregnant, so BP it is. Right now AM is cleanser and moisturizer with sunscreen. PM is cleanser and Dan's BP. I have noticed improvement but I am just so tired of dealing with acne!
  7. Day 198 Thanks DanMan1, Smiles1 and TxLadyLisa for your replies. I tried not using BP before and my face looked horrible! Right now I am using BP at night only and it is helping tremedously.
  8. Day 186 It has been 2 weeks since I've updated. Right after my last post, my face ERUPTED! It did not look good. Both of my cheeks were covered with pimples. One day I visited my grandmother and she asked me if I was sick. She said that she would get all "those things on her face" when she was sick. Thanks grandma! So, for the past week, I have been washing twice a day with Purpose Cleansing Wash. Moisturizing in the am and BP and moisturizing at night. My face is starting to look a
  9. Day 172 Nothing much to report. The past few mornings I have washed my face with a salicylic acid wash and then folllowed that with a moisturizer. That's it, nothing else. My face looks better than it has in awhile, but I am fearful of a nasty breakout. I will probably use a little BP at night. It's amazing to me that, now that I haven't really given a fuck about what my face looks like, it looks better. Go figure!
  10. Day 168 Honestly, I haven't really been following any type of regimen for about 2 weeks now. I have been a bit under the weather and some nights I haven't even washed my face before bed. Surprisingly, my breakouts haven't been any worse. My face just feels really nasty and greasy. I will probably just start BPing twice a day again. It is the only thing that kept me practically clear for the longest amount of time.
  11. Golfiscrap, you life is not over. The scars will eventually fade. It may not seem like it right now, but they will. I have some post inflammatory hyperpigmentation right now that I am working on getting rid of. I am fairly confident that they will be gone in about 3-6 months. Sometimes less is more. Thankfully you have found something that is giving you good results.
  12. I forgot that I changed my name. :D Haha! Yeah, I was wondering where you went. It's good to have ya back!
  13. I am interested in purchasing a 4% hydroquinone for use after I finish using the 2% that I have now. There are actually alot of 4% to choose from. I am considering Lustra or Glyquin. Lustra has 4% hydroquinone, 4% glycolic acid and SPF 15. Glyquin has 4% hydroquinone, 10% glycolic acid and SPF 15. I am not liking the fact that the SPF is only 15. I wonder if I should use additional SPF on top of that. I would like to hear your opinion Marino!
  14. Hi Beejay, it breaks my heart to hear you speak so negatively about yourself. I have dealt with my share of problems and I have been depressed before, so I know, to a certain extent, how you feel. It is wonderful to know that there are so many empathetic people who genuinely care about others on this board. If I were you Beejay, I would look into a change in medication. The encouraging words are wonderful, but severe depression can not be controlled without the proper medication.
  15. Congratulations! Your skin looks great!
