  1. Uh....right. I haven't tried herbs. I have had acupuncture done, though, and it really evened out my skin. I was amazed. And no, I'm not Asian. =P All I can recommend is to go and visit the herbalist, and at least see what sort of treatment that they would start you on. If you still feel like it could benefit your body, then go for it. And don't be afraid to ask for as much explanation as possible. My acupuncturist loved talking about various theories, how he was treating me, etc.

  3. *LAUGHS INSANELY* So random. You just made my day. Thanks. And I agree with potatoes...it'll burn your skin badly if you leave it on for too long. Proceed with caution.
  4. That's awesome. Thanks so much.
  5. I completely agree with this post. Our minds frighten me a little. For example: My grandmother had a very hard life, and every month she would have to go to the doctor to get a new infection treated. What's more, she had a major health crisis every three years (i.e. breast cancer, and then a stroke) before her stress was abated. My mother fell into the same pattern when things were rocky and my dad was ill. The doctor was puzzled, and said that he could see no physical reason why she kept gett
  6. But ofcourse you dont eat it all at once, so you divide all with 4, so that makes 10 grams of protein per slice. That's so neat! Where did you get that recipe analyzing thingy from (or did you just do it by hand)? I make homemade stuff that doesn't come with a nutritional analysis, so I've been wanting some software to do that sort of thing, and that looks perfect... And your recipe looks really tasty. I'm definitely going to try it soon.
  7. Hey there - This site is really excellent for that sort of stuff: http://www.thecaloriecounter.com/ They have information for every single food I've been curious about. They also have info for coconut oil.
  8. ARGH, that's so frustrating.... Hang in there. I really think your plan is a good one. Any posts I've read about someone moving back to a gentle cleansing process say that it's taken around 3 months or more for them to be totally clear again. I know that that sounds like a hugely long time, but if you feel you're on the right track you should definitely stick with it. Also, I don't know if you've read any of what jan carlo has posted here, but it might help a little: http://www.acne.org/mes
  9. Personally, I'd switch to a gentler cleanser for the reason you said - if you use something gentler, you don't have to put as strong a lotion on your face. Then again, I don't know what's right anymore, so it's probably a good idea to not listen to me. :D
  10. Hey, congratulations! That's wonderful news to hear. And you're right - that song is awesome. I love Tool and APC.
  11. I'll definitely pray for you, too. And even though my fiance has no acne, I wouldn't let it get in the way if he did. I love him, and that's that. I know this for sure because I've had big crushes on a couple of guys with acne that's more on the severe side. They're funny, intelligent, and wonderful individuals that I'm still friends with. And, in all honesty, I didn't even notice their skin until my own got crappy and I started looking at everyone's.
  12. Thanks so much for this. That's so neat. I was wondering...what sort of natural cleansers/toners did she suggest? Are they the ones that you're using at the moment (the ACV and the egg white/lemon)? I've been looking for something really gentle (as everything I try seems to dry out my skin and make it red), and I'd really like to get something natural. And have you tried jojoba oil? That's another thing I'm attempting to find, but I haven't been able to try it yet. Good luck with your regi
  13. AhhHHh, I was unaware of that. Thanks. I'll definitely look into that, then - thanks. I can't find any Purpose around where I live, and I was wondering what might be as effective in its place (I've never used it, but have been told multiple times by many people that it's great).
  14. I tried something similar for two months, and it was grand. My red marks faded drastically, and while I had more little bumps on my face, I had no more large pimples. I thought I'd try something gentle on my skin for washing, because I had dry skin that I wanted to get rid of...and it broke me out again after a week. And it made my red marks look much, much worse. So, I stopped washing with anything but water twice a day again. My red marks faded, and I don't have any more new zits. I thi
