  1. Yeah in the beginning it made my face dry too. I think it gets better on. Im actually still using it now, but just a few times a week. It took about 3 months for me to see any kind of change and about 6 months until i was clear. Its going to be awhile and you have to be patient. I got discuraged in the begining also after not seeing results and reading other peoples bad experiences with retinoids and AB's, but i just stuck to it and it worked. Hope it works for you Amanda
  2. Im just wondering if anyone has tried Tazorac. I had severe cyst acne and it seems to have solved the problem. I had it all over, cheeks, temples, between eyebrows, chin, and jawline. Only place i didnt breakout at was the forehead. I had the problem for about 4 years. First two years i had it moderate, but later on it became severe. I then decided to go see a derm and she prescribed me minocyclin, tazorac, and sulfur/sodium cream and wash cloths. I started to show some improvement afte
  3. I use purpose oil free 15% uv moisterizer. It works good. Keeps skin moisterized, skin doesnt get all oily, and has uv protection which is good when using tazorac.
  4. Ok so far so good. No new pimples. The mino + bp is putting out the existing fires too. Maybe it was my liver detoxing itself from the long alcohol abuse? And maybe the turmeric helped it too. Dunno Oh yeah i also added vitimins to the mix too. 1000mg of vitamin C, 50mg of zinc, and 400ui of vitamin E plus 4 cups of water a day (atleast). Hopefully results last!
  5. Ive used it and it worked great. I had bad acne and it completely cleared all my acne along with some scars. For a little over a year i was like 99% pimple free. But suddenly 2 weeks ago i started to breakout again. Can you believe that? After a year of thinking ive made it to the promise land! But to give you hope though man, this past year was great being acne free. Stick to it along with the anti-biotics. Good luck i am wondering would i break out again if i stop usin anti-bioti
  6. Yes that has happened to me. I was clear for about ten months and then I broke out horribly and have been breaking out ever since. For me I think it was an allergic reaction to an aveeno product I used, changes in weather, and now Im allergic to dairy products. I dont know why Im suddenly allergic to dairy Maybe you can bump the tazorac up to every night. How long have you been using tazorac?
  7. Hey JoeSmoe! What do you know *wink*

    1. I can vouch for this. When I stopped drinking my acne was the worst it had ever been. I had huge cysts and there wasnt a square inch of my face that wasnt covered with acne. I also broke out on my back and chest during that time. I have since learned that when I stopped drinking my liver was detoxifying and excreting all the toxins through my pores which caused the severe acne. Your case could be the same thing in a milder form. Sorry! The good news is that it is only a temporary thing. I am not

    3. Ok i have been using Tazorac for a little over a year. It did wonders for me. I had moderate to severe acne and it cleared me up 100%. But these past 2 weeks i started to break out. And it is continously happening. I think that maybe my body has become immune to the retinoids? Has anyone had success for over a year and still staying clear? Hopefully there are some people that are cured and still visit this board!
    4. Thanks for replies people. Diet has been the same and regimen has been the same. I havent done anything physically different. Only thing is maybe a little more stress than normal. The weird thing is when i started to clear up i started partying and drank alot of alcohol. I probably drank like once or twice a week. And it was hardcore drinking too. Recently i stopped and i havent drank alcohol for about a month now. That is the only thing different from my schedule that i can think of. O
    5. Ok this is super weird. I have been clear for a little over a years, like 99% clear. I still uses the same regimin, purpose cleansing bar, 2.5 bp, and tazorac every other night. I would get an occasianal pimple here and there, but nothing the bp couldnt handle in a few days. Just recently i noticed i had a few zits on my chin. Then i noticed i had a few on the other side. Then one came up on my inner cheek on the side of my nose. Now i have a few by my upper lip! When i woke up this mor
    6. Ok my skin has been doing so good for over a year. I had severe acne and my derm put me on antibiotics and tazorac. I cleared up and eventually my oily skin soon disappeared too. After awhile i just used the tazorac once every few days and just washed my face with the purpose bar soap. Now, over a year later, my skin is getting oily again! I dont understand it... I dont know what is causing to come back. Any ideas folks? Thanks
    7. I have been using tazorac for about 6 months. I had severe acne along with rolling and boxscar scars on my cheeks and temples. Tazorac has cleared me up 99% and has made scars alot more shallow to where they are not that noticable. Only at certain angles of light/shadow the scars are appearant. But normally it is pretty hard to see, only if you look hard, then you would be able to see. I would definately recommend it.
