  1. Hello everyone Firstly im sorry that i haven't posted on this site for years. Secondly i haven't got long as im on a pay-per use internet terminal, but will definately be posting alot more over the next few weeks in order to push the theory to a new level. So many people have been messaging and emailing me, so thanks for that. Im still banned from the other site which i won't mention. Ive got to go now, but will message v soon. Im working on a summary of the theory (incorporating all your id
  2. congratulations, i think you are hitting the nail on the head, this is precisely the problem that should be, being worked on by acne research scientists. It is exactly the problem that i have been researching for the last 3-5 years (i have been researching acne for 8 years), and i have come to the same conclusion as 'sweetjade1980'... the 'solution' to acne is multi-layered, using accutane is like sealing up a leaking roof with plastic bags. The leak will stop (for a while) but because you h

  4. you should talk to a derm but, the dose depends on what you weigh, look at some of my posts for more infomation, on cost and how to take it etc. If you weigh 60kg then the maximum dose you should take per day is 60mg i.e. 1mg per kg per day. While for the first month it is very advisable to start on around 20mg per day to avoid the initial breakout and help your body to adjust. Again it all depends on what you weigh. (and do speak to a derm, because isotretinoin or accutane is one of the m
  5. use soothing aloe vera gel (with vitamin e) to protect the skin and slowly remove the redness, and tone your skin with a NON ALCHOLIC tonor to help close your pores.
  6. guys tend to get more severe acne in their teens and then groe out of it by their early to mid twenties, as their testosterone levels settle down. Women on the other hand generally get it less severe in their teens but will be plagued by flare ups possibly until the menopause, although many will 'out-grow' the tendancy long before that. However the point is that generally women will be bothered by acne for longer, due in part to their monthly hormonal turbulance, and partly because women tend to
  7. 'haloflies' i mainly ate only organic stuff, so the growth hormones and pesticides weren't so much of an issue. Secondly if those people have different genes that don't give rise to the conditions in the body that predispose to acne, because they are genetically isolated as you say. Then why is it that the genes which do give rise to the conditions that predispose to acne, are advantagous in a western society, there is no reason at all. For if these genes weren't advantagous in our society
  8. sorry jonathan i miss understood you...i agree with you, about two weeks ago i cut out all processed foods and only eat, lots and lots of fruits (of all kinds) a limited no of vegetables, and olive oil, and nuts every time i had fruits, (healthly ones like brazils, walnuts, almonds), and drank lots of water, the reason i eat lots of nuts was to balance my blood sugars after the fruit sugar, so that i didn't get hunger pains or cravings, after 3 days i got no new spots, but i was getting low on e
  9. 'Your body gets used to them and when you are really sick antibiotics won't work for you anymore' just to clear it up, in case anyone on antibiotics is worried and might stop taking them, don't, because antibiotics will work for you if you get sick because, there are hundreds of antibiotics, and the family of antibiotics of which minocyline is a member, is the tetracyclines, which are broad spectrum and are used to treat not many illnesses, so even if you do become mildly resistant to min
  10. thrombosis (unwanted blood clots) isn't a disease, so it doesn't have symptoms like a disease would that last a while. It comes on quickly, and the symptoms that occur will depend on the position of the clot in the body, but commonly, the clot will occur in a vein, and there might be a dull pain in the area, and a swelling that will probably be blue-red in colour, in DVT the pain and swelling will obviously be in the affected leg. If you are concerned by this then you should speak to a docto
  11. i take 500mg of milk thistle per day, as part of a multi-supplement called 'liver-care' it also contains dandelion, barberry, and tumeric, which all help to cleanse the liver, but milk thistle is the main one, as it helps the liver cells to remove toxins and metabolic waste to be excreted as bile, which takes the strain off the liver when it's trying to deal with the isotretinoin.
  12. 20mg per day will clear your skin, but what AmericanOrange is saying is that you need 1 mg/kg per day (or i think a total cumulative dose of 120mg/kg), in order to provide the best chance of a cure. You see the study showed that since one of the targets for the accutane is the ketatin producing cells (the other is the sebaceous glands), on average, in order to remain permanently cured these cells have to be re-set, by the accutane, this will only happen (on average) if a large daily dose, ov
  13. if the cause is genetic then how on earth can we possibly hope to 'stop it' , how many genetic engineers do you know that can correct your genes and stop you getting acne.... and also coming back to the original point, genes won't just cause a disease all on there own, unless its a simple inheritance which acne is not, they have to be switched on by the environmental triggers, like diet etc. Countries where no processed food are eaten have no acne, or have never had acne, (search the medical
  14. B5 only helps people that have a high metabolic resistance to the burning of fat, (due to their genes, as the reason for their acne), i.e people who, if they didn't exercise and eat lots of fat everyday, would either get fatter or get more spots(or both)... there is a sizable amount of people who have a low metabolic resistance to the burning of fat (like me) and i have been taking B5 (until i realised all this) for 7 months at 10g per day and it did barely anything, even the last 2 months
  15. you can find out the price on the the BRITISH NATIONAL FORMULARY(do a google search), if you really want to, but you have to sign up for it(its free), and to get full access just say on the sign up that you are a doctor, or medical student. i think off hand that the price for roaccutane in england, is about £54 ish per box, so a full course could cost up to £400-£500, but of course these prices are the ones that roche charge the national health service, and the ones that you're cons
