  1. I did a 20% TCA peel two layers, one week ago. I am wondering how long I should wait until the next peel? Thanks!
  2. I am wondering where people buy their TCA peels online from? I am looking for 35%, I will be doing it at home since the only derm that does that percentage in my area can't see me till October. If you use ebay for it, what seller do you use? Also, where do you purchase your neutralizer? Just don't want to get ripped off! Thanks!
  3. I just had my first TCA peel done (12%) today. I have had many glycolic peels done in the past. Basically I am sick and tired of dealing with red marks and rolling scars, which I have had for 3 years. I was wondering if anyone has had a Phenol peel and what their experience was. I had read all about the cons, so you can't say anything that will scare me. Thanks. I want this to be over once and for all, and I don't want to go the laser route after reading all the reviews it just seems like they
  4. I just had mine done an hour ago. They said my skin will be back to normal in a week. That I can expect to peel for 3-5 days.

I'm not sure if you can while on accutane. I had restalyne injected into my cheeks for rolling scars, I used half a syringe and she said that if I wanted to do every single scar it would be thousands of dollars. So I guess if you only have a few it would work, but if you have many then I would think not.
  6. I went out and got the philosophy primer. How much are you supposed to use? I waited five minutes then applied my makeup. It definetly makes makeup stick but my goodness I felt like I had paste on my face, it felt super thick. It was really hard to blend, should I try a different foundation with it or less primer? Thanks!
  7. I was wondering if a primer would help fill in the grooves that I have from acne. I just had a baby so please be kind when responding, my self-esteem isn't too high! Thanks!
  8. I was wondering who your Dr. was that performed the procedure. Dr. Fitzpatrick is mainly known to have helped develop the laser, and I was wondering if you used him or not. I will be starting my treatments in April. Thanks!
  9. Hi Jen, Is this also true for asian skin type? I know that asians have a higher chance for hyperpigment, and just wanted to make sure. My doc said it is okay, but I want to know what you guys think. Would appreciate it if you could tell me if the answer above applies to asians also. Since I'm not asian and very fair skinned I can't answer that question for you. My doctor said I was a very good candidate for the procedure because I am of Scandanovian descent, so fraxel and vbeam work b
  10. I am having four fraxel treatments done with 3 vbeam treatments. They will both be done on the same day together, my derm said that this isn't a problem and they are usually done together. I wouldn't worry about it. The fraxel treats the scars, and the vbeam the redness so they are going after two different things. Jen
  11. I do agree with you that time is the best healer. However, how long do you suggest one should wait 5, 10 years? I'm sorry but posts like yours are what has always kept me from doing laser treatments or other treatments. On this message board you are more likely to not hear about the sucess stories because they don't have acne/acne scars anymore and they have moved on with their life. I'm really sorry things didn't work out for you, I truly am, but I'm not letting posts like yours persuade me aga
  12. Hi Everyone, I am looking for a derm or facial plastic surgeon that is highly recommended in the Orange County or Los Angeles area. I plan to get PDL or Dermabrasion for scarring. My insurance does not cover it, so if you have worked with anyone that is good please let me know I would really appreciate it. Or if you know of any websites that have recommendations for doctors. Thanks. Jen
  13. Hi Everyone, I am 22 and have had acne for about ten years. I would say it is moderate, I was on the regimen but I have slowly worked off of it because it was causing cystic acne and my first ever pitted scars. I have a lot of hyperpigmentation and on any given day around 5-10 breakouts. I have never been on accutane because of a family history of depression. It is genetic and my mom still has the occasional breakout every month in her fifties. My question is my husband and I would really like
  14. I have had two guys come up to me and ask me if I had lotion on two totally different occasions. It didn't seem weird to me, I just felt bad because I couldn't help them out. I now carry a mini bottle in my purse and have yet to be asked. I don't think its strange and don't worry about what others think after highschool and college you will never think of those people again, and if you do it will be like "oh that guy probably ended up in jail".
