  1. CM, Interesting news about the Fraxel + . Can you confirm if that is the name for sure and if Reliant is the manufacturer? I wasn't aware of any field testing for another Fraxel? It may possibly be from another manufacturer but I doubt it as Fraxel is a trademarked name.
  2. Hello Annie, Was wondering what happened to you. When I scheduled my 1st Fraxel treatment I went on-line to find a "support" group of some kind and came across your pics......that in turn led me to this board. Anyhow, thanks for posting the pictures. I had my second treatment about 2 weeks ago and am scheduled to have my third this Wednseday. I've been taking a few pics and my Dr's office takes a few before the treatment. I haven't posted any though. Geeez..... you must be a seriuos sweller! T
  3. just wondering why they would use the gentle laser before your Fraxel treatment...your face isn't even red yet..I get mine done after... The assistant said they do it before because afterwards it may not penetrate evenly because of the dye. Does that make sense or does it sound like bs? Maybe I should request to have it done after? By the way, Day 3, feeling a little "tight" and my skin feels a little rough to the touch. Looked more red this morning, but now looks like it's turning mor

  5. I took the toredol on my 2nd Fraxel and it really didn't do much for me.. It doesn't really bother me until they go over my cheeks a second time at a different setting(where most of my scarring is). I have to say it hurts alot but I just take it(wince a bit though). Lets just say I don't look foward to that part, other than that it's not really a problem.Upper lip and forehead don't seem to hurt for me.. Four more to go...Nothing substantial to report but I guess its still too early to tell, h
  6. Hi Jennifer, I was wondering, how long before the surgery did they apply the blue dye? Mine was applied just before and came off quite easily w/palmolive soap.. They put it on an hour before my procedure right befoer they applied the numbing cream. I just got most of if off with the soap paste. I think I am also seeing some of the green pigment in the Eucerin Redness releif cream. I am also starting to see very small blood spots. The size of a needle head on my cheeks. Nothin

  8. I was curious to know how Accutane scarred your face? Are you positive it was the accutane or could it have been part of severe acne before you went on the drug. Iv'e heard that before on these boards and want to know how these people came up with this assumption. Most people who take Accutane have severe acne(and if they don't shouldn't have taken it to begin with) and have scarred themselves before even taking the drug but don't realize it. Most people can't see the extent of their scarring u
  9. Frankly I think you guys are quite right that the price are quite steep, totally agree. But I think the success of Fraxel and any other treatment has many factor. Skill, knowledge of Derm, level of treatment and ways, Scar type, depth of scars, recovering and your expectation. Personally I had done it for two treatment now and the improvement is still promising. First time 15mj 4 passes second wasn't too sure but seems to be 20mj 4 passes, quite pickling even for the first pass. I see ver
  10. Hi, I was just curious..How bad are your scars? Also how old are you? I heard your age may have an effect on your response to lasers..some people did not see a big improvement in the scars but there overall skin tone looks better. I'm just doing my research. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
  11. Hey Sean, Thanks for the updates..I was curious to know what you are using to keep the swelling down on your face. I'm starting treatments soon and want to keep my swelling to a minimum..Any help would be appreciated, thanks..
  12. Hey, $5000,00 is way to much, and if you have bad scarring or even moderate you will definitely need more than one treatment. I would go to a few more Dr's(especially one who uses Fraxel) to get more opinions. Do not limit yourself to one Dr...best of luck p.s. where R u from?
  13. TomTom, The only advice I could give would be is this..Be the same guy she fell in love with, remember all the reasons she wanted to be with you. Try your best to not even think about what has happened to you, it will only bring out a negative vibe. There is so much more to a person than just how they look, if she loves you nothing else will matter. Now if you go in there with a positive outlook and just be yourself you will do great. I'm not much of a prayer guy but I will definitely be pul
