  5. I really love these words"for life"! My experience by now: I took 20mg per day, it works. I have back acne and facial redness, facial flushing. The back acne is much better. but the facial redness and facial flushing is much worse!!! After searching from the web, now I decided to try 20mg every other day(or 10mg per day). As they said, this dose will reduce facial redness and flushing, and also back acne!
  6. I've had back acne(cyst, I think it's rosacea) for more than 10 years. and I'm a little bit fat, 85kg. So Maybe 20mg every other day isn't strong enough for me? Can I try 30mg or 40mg every other day(or every day) for half a year(or a whole year)? and then can I take 30mg or 40mg every week for long term use? What's the side effect if I take it overdose for long term(like forever)? And would you please ask your derm if the low dose doxycycline (40mg per day) works or not? I think it's a perman
  7. I think you can't use Accutane and RETINOID at the same time, and you can't take Accutane and Doxy at the same time, right?

  10. ACKGROUND: The efficacy of isotretinoin at 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg per day in the treatment of acne is well established and considered safe, although it is sometimes not easily tolerated because of its cutaneous side effects. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of low-dose isotretinoin in the treatment of acne. METHODS: In this prospective, noncomparative, open-label study, 638 patients, both male and female, with moderate acne were enrolled and treated with isotretinoin
  11. I am male. I have taken Finasteride for almost one year. 1.5mg per day(I split the Proscar to three parts, and take one part each day). The good news is my losing hair really is growing back! The bad news is that it did nothing to my body acne, I still get cyst acne again and again on the back. I really wanna know why! Maybe the dosage is too low?
  12. and I've taken that for over 10 years with no problem ======================================= thanks for your information!!! But I am male, I don't know if I can take Spiro for long term use without any side effect.
  13. Doxycycline 40 mg (anti-inflammatory dose - not antibiotic) --- currently weaning off doxy Spironolactone 100 mg Why weaning off doxy? I think you need weaning off Spironolactone. It has a lot of side effects, and it's female only?
