  1. Has anybody tried this 'Acuzine' supplement that is supposed to detoxify your skin and prevent acne? I've just ordered a trial bottle of 1 months supply, 1 pill a day is supposed to do the job. My prediction is it could be bullshit but i'm willing to give anything a go.
  2. Iv just invested in "Baxter of California" gentle facewash and oil free moisturiser. Going to try looking after my skin by simply cleansing and moisturising and exfoliating every couple of days - irritating as little as possible. I bet it doesnt work but its worth giving it a go!! Wish me luck.
  3. Anybody tried this range of products? Says its a US brand but just become available in the UK (where I am). Gona try the gentle cleanse and moisturise approach to my acne and was wondering if any of you guys have tried this stuff.
  4. Hello people, I know this question has probably been asked hundreds of times but: I'm a guy from the UK and was wondering could anybody recommend a moisturiser that is oil free, non-comedogenic and alcohol free? I am currently using Nivea oil free moisturising fluid which is oil free and non-com, but I feel that the alcohol (alcohol denat.) may be irritating my skin. This moisturiser prevents me from becoming oily throughout the day, but I think the matte finish it gives to my face might be o

  6. Can you recommend a moisturizer that is oil-free and non-comedogenic please Brandy?
  7. Hi guys, I'v suffered a mild-moderate form of acne now since I was 14 (I am now 21). I have tried every over the counter medication you can think of (including the regimen) and must have spent hundreds of pounds in the process. I still have the acne though. Every single moisturiser I have tried has broken me out, and the problem is that every single cleanser I have used has dried me out!! If I dont use a moisturiser after a cleanser my skin becomes irritated and breaks out. Likewise if I us
  8. I was wondering if dabbing just plain tap water on the blemish throughout the day would encourage or intefere with it clearing up? i.e. by drying it out
  9. After popping/squeezing a pimple and you've got all the shit out of it, what is the best way to deal with it the promote healing? I was wondering whether drying out the blemish until it falls off/heals is faster than applying a healing cream which will keep it moist? The question is to dry out or to treat?
  10. Has anybody here tried it? I'm thinking of taking the 'look after your skin like a non-acne sufferer approach' and was wondering if this was worth a go.
  11. Hi guys, After taking 5g of vitamin B5 a day for two weeks, I broke out quite badly last monday. Any1 else taking B5 experience this sort of breakout after a couple of weeks? I got say about 15 small to medium whiteheads and 1 more severe pimple, all around my forehead and mouth/chin. Although most of them have scabbed and healed, a couple of blemishes/redmarks remain (the big one being the most obvious!) Before this though, my skin was getting clearer and clearer with B5, nivea sensitive fa
  12. do people exfoliate every night or could I be over-exfoliating?
  13. Thanks for the replies, I had mainly been using a dry towel/washcloth but I might try dampening it first to see if it irritates less. I dont actually scrub at all in the shower which might be one of the reasons so much dead skin remains - I only gently cleanse. I only discover actually how much dead skin there is until i get out of the shower and look in the mirror!
  14. Hi guys, I have a simple regimen of nivea sensitive facewash followed by nivea oil free moisturiser morning and night which seems to be the best for my sensitive acne-prone skin. My problem is that during the day it seems that dead skin builds up on my face, and when I get out of the shower at night, it is visible to see on my face. I cannot use chemical exfoliants as my skin is so sensitive and they break me out like mad, so I have to manually exfoliate with a towel/washcloth to get rid of
  15. Yes but I think the rate at which my skin regenerates is what is causing my acne and increased oil production! Dealing with it is proving impossible.
