  1. heads up...clindagel makes your face look super oily.
  2. Thank you so much for finding this!! I've been looking for mandelic acid products that I don't have to buy online! And they're cheaper. I'm gonna check them out...
  3. So I know you're not suppose to go out into the sun when you're using Differin, but I have lately because I enjoy laying out in the sun. However, after a few days, I've been noticing that my skin is starting to break out again- something it hasn't done for about two months. Is this the effect of the mix of differin and the sun or is it just the humidity and sweat?

  5. I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but I was wondering if there are any similar over the counter products. I'm not very comfortable buying things online. Would an AHA product give me similar results?
  6. I've been using Differin since October now and I must say, it's worked very well. The first two to three months were really tough from all of the purging, but things calmed down after that. I never get any large pimples anymore...the most I ever get is two or three whiteheads every so often. I still haven't seen any affect on my blackheads though. Just be warned that it does get rough at times and makes your skin look very and let me clarify, very oily, but I think you'd rather have oily skin th
  7. I have that same exact thing right now! Mine's on the inside of my elbow though and it kind of reminds me of athlete's foot. I have noticed that it gets worse when I eat some kind of peanut, so it could just be an allergy thing. Not sure though...I'm thinking of using an AHA.
  8. I've been on Differin and Clindagel since October, been through the horrible initial breakout, and now have semi-okay skin, though I still have a lot of blackheads. However, within the past few weeks I've had numerous comments that my "forehead is really shiny." I really think it's the clindagel that's doing it, but I really like the results its given me. I talked to my derm about it and she just prescribed me these clindagel pad things. They're not really any different. Is it worth it to stop
  9. This is exactly what I've been noticing! I stopped working out a few weeks ago because I was just so busy and my skin started clearing up nicely. Then I just went back to the gym a few days ago and I'm breaking out again. It sucks so much. I love working out, but I think I'd rather have clear skin than a nice body...maybe.
  10. I think the clindamycin gives me more blackheads and makes my skin more oily, but it seems like it evens out my skin tone pretty good. I don't know if this is the differin or not, but if I have to pop a pimple because I have to go somewhere important, I always put a little bit of clindamycin on it and it seems like it takes less time for the redmark to fade.
  11. Okay, so I'm currently using differin at night and clindagel in the morning. In the directions my derm gave me, it says to wash my face before applying the differin, but it never says anything about the clindagel. Being that I take showers at night and not in the morning, should I be washing my face before I apply clindagel? I'm hoping I haven't been making this mistake for the past three months.
  12. Hmm...this sounds like interesting stuff. If I'm using Differin at night and a topical clindomycin in the morning, when would be the best time to apply AHA?
  13. I'm currently look for a new derm, and was wondering it anyone knew of a site that had a list of derms that with ratings. I really don't want to have to go through what I've been through with my old derm, and would find it really helpful to know some background on a new derm. Any suggestions?
  14. Quick question...are you suppose to wait 30 minutes after washing your face before applying Differin? I can totally relate to you with the redness. Anytime something touches my face, it looks like I'm sunburned.
  15. Well, my first three months of Differin have been difficult. A few weeks ago, it looked like it may clear me up, but for some reason, it's started to break me out even worse. I don't think I've ever had so many active whiteheads, blackheads, and scaring. My next derm appointment is in a few days and I'm getting low, so I'm thinking that my derm may change what I'm taking. The last time I went there she said, as well as the nurse that comes in before her, that I should've been clearing by then.
