  1. So one shouldn't really be concerned if improvement is not apparent after say, your second or third, when multiple sessions (3-5) were recommended upon initial consultation? I'm one week into my third session. Fourth will be 3 weeks from now.
  2. Experienced fraxellers, could you please advise whether it's harmless to gently wash your face or shower post-fraxel? More so to counteract weeping after treatment. Is cleansing necessary, or should the skin be left alone for the first day or two? Thanks
  3. Does it actually work? Speaking for slightly thinning hair near the hairline. Apologies, as I didn't know where else to post this topic.
  4. Odd to hear a doctor say this.... So does your doctor have both machines? I am asking this as usually Fraxel 2 is just a software upgrade not a whole new machine so it would be odd if your doctor had two different machines. Just curious. My doctor said exactly the same thing. She has no reason to lie or suggest otherwise - her practice was the first in Australia to pursue fraxel and she herself is extremely knowledgeable and experienced, having received extensive training (both nation

  6. Hi all, when getting Fraxel done what exactly constitutes 'full face' and 'half face'? I ask as for the majority of people getting Fraxel to help scarring, I doubt they'd get their 'full face' done, which would include the nose, forehead, chin and other areas where scarring may not be an issue, right? Hence, for scar sufferers, 'full face' may apply to cheeks AND temples AND anywhere else, while 'half face' would apply to cheeks only. That's how I'm thinking anyway, hence my query (though I may
  7. I realise it's quite unlikely (as I believe - from what I've read anyway - three to five treatments are necessary to gauge possitive results) but is it possible to get some results, whether it be for scars or for just healthier looking skin overall, after simply one treatment? - in the long-term that is, after swelling/micro-swelling etc completely subsides. If not, what about after two? Please elaborate - I pose the question as many of you are quite knowledgeable with this topic Also, can so

  9. When I was 14, I recall having some minor boxcar/rolling scars along my temples. I did karate for four years since, and noticed my skin improved, including my scars. I often went to three classes a week, 2 demanding hours each session. I'm almost 24, and haven't been active in any sport since starting Uni in 2001. It was during this period my skin worsened and resulted in somewhat minor (but obvious in various lighting) rolling scars across both cheeks and temples. Now that summer has started,
  10. I have rolling scars - I tried this ages ago. My skin also scabbed. No success, despite doing it for several weeks.
  11. Hardly, I live on the Gold Coast, QLD. By 'normal', surely you know what I mean.
  12. This thread doesn't make me feel any better at all LOL. Probably 99% of NORMAL people (ie. non celebrities) I see everyday don't have acne/scars whatsoever.
  13. I remember quite a number of topics popping up some weeks ago where people had started self-needling, or enquiring about it (me included). What happened to everyone? Has anyone seen results? Just browsing through some of the needling threads from way back, I also notice the topic starters have been absent from this forum for ages. I can only assume they found success, hence no longer frequent these boards?
  14. What drives me nuts are those topics created: "SUGAR MAKES YOU BREAK OUT", "DO NOT EAT THIS", even worse when they're acknowledged in caps, as represented here in my description. Sharing one's opinion is great, but I don't need others advocating WHAT I MUST eat. We're all individuals, people break out on certain foods, other don't. Some find no correlation at all. I've eaten LOADS of pizza over the month, inc. takeaway and junkfood (thanks Uni and these awful exams coming up) and I have had no p
