acne.org! (it's so easy to spend hours on here); art in general (I'm an art major), from film to music to fine art - my emphasis is photography, so of course taking photos is another interest; animal rights and animals (I'm vegetarian, tho it's not a requisite to be interested in helping animals!); nature - I LOVE being outside; reading - one of my fav. pastimes; just hanging out at home with my fiance
  1. Hi, I tried it a few years ago and it worked for a month, then my skin went back to how it was before I started using it. It may work consistently for some people, but it didn't for me (I'd say I had mild-moderate acne). I've been doing the regimen for 3 years and it's the only thing that's helped me long-term. I now get 1-2 tiny pimples, maybe twice a month. Hope this helped!
  2. I was wondering if anyone knows of an effective pore-refining cleanser or anything else that would help with large, visible pores on my forehead, chin, and cheeks on either side of my nose that I'd really like to make smaller. Also, I've been on the regimen for about 3 years, and my skin is stable as far as acne is concerned, so I'm not afraid to try something new. Thanks!!!!

  4. I'm in the same situation. My man and I are on a break, but still see each other once in awhile. Meanwhile, I'm interested in and talking to someone else (only talking). I feel horrible at times. But life is complicated like that, ya know? We can't be perfect. Hearts and minds are complex things, and so long as you're not totally messing with people's emotions, and taking care in what you are ultimately trying to figure out (who to be with or to be with anyone at all) and respecting all in
  5. I like this post. Very positive and uplifting, not to mention great advice!
  6. I have to admit, I'm holding out that this is what's happened (meaning it should go away at some point after stopping the regimen, right?), and that my skin hasn't simply become more oily on its own. I'm only doing the regimen at night these days, if at all, and when I don't do it I don't use moisturizer, so I hope that this helps! Thanks! Thanks for the info! Funny, I was planning on researching ACV on here tonight, and then I get your post...
  7. Wow. Well this has certainly been informative! I had no idea my skin could become more oily at this age (just figured if it happened at all, it would happen when you're a pre-teen/teen). Thanks for your replies, now I know that next time I buy something for my skin, it should probably be something that works for/with the oil.
  8. Awards like that are so ridiculous...I'm so sorry that happened to you. My poor fiance was nominated Most Likely to Kill Someone his senior year, and he's the nicest, most caring guy - to everyone! All b/c he had just transferred to that school the year before and wasn't popular and didn't care to be. I mean, why would anyone even make up an award like that? High school blows, people.
  9. I've done the CSR for about a year and a half now, but am weening myself off of it in lieu of trying some new products to see if they work better (I'm 24 and fear bp might cause premature wrinkles, plus I'm curious if "grown-up" products like Olay's microermabrasion/peel kit and thermal skin polisher might help just as well, so I'm trying them). Anyway, I've noticed that if I don't use bp, my skin gets quite oily, which it never did pre-CSR. I feel that bp has really broken down my skin, so to
  10. Thanks guys, your replies have been very helpful! I'm gonna stop by Wal-Mart tonight and pick up some wonderful Olay products!!
  11. Yes, I absolutely love this product!! Not only does it not make me look greasy, the powder ingredient is enough to even out my skin tone, so I don't have to worry about foundation. Just apply the moisturizer and go! I also use another Olay product that works well for me, so now I am a devotee.
  12. Your moisturizer may not contain macadamia nut oil, but your shampoo does.
