  1. How are all the 3rd time taners doing? =) Brad, thanks for agreeing with me about the psychological benefits of taking accutane! I'm on my 4th month right now and my mirror-checking has significantly reduced! haha. Also, I can talk to people face to face without subconsciously thinking whether or not they're looking at my face for pimples or oilyness. It definitely raises self-confidence. However, while on accutane, do any of you guys still experience new clogged pores on your nose after 1-2 we
  2. So I'm still on 70mg going into month 3...which is around 1.0mg/kg/day. I'd like my derm to bump me up to 80mg since it'll be cheaper. Plus, evidence has shown that a higher dose decreases a relapse rate? I've been pretty passive with my derm in terms of voicing my opinion on my dosage because the other derm (owner) was adamant on not giving me accutane, where as she has no problem with it. But I think next time I see her for my 4th month supply, I'm going to ask about bumping it up so it's hig
  3. The fact that I relapsed twice already from accutane, I know that the drug is not going to get rid of the cause of my acne. However, it gives me time to relax and not stress about it and focus on other things in my life (e.g. work, socialize, not looking at mirrors to see how much oil i have on my face or if there is a new pimple, etc.). I'm sure all the tane-users know what I'm talking about =) Consistently following a regimen can be really difficult sometimes (especially when it's not working)
  4. Hi lmontgom, I'm on my 3rd course right now and I started a month ago). 1st round was in 2005. 2nd round was in 2007. I relapsed at 1.5 years after my 1st round and relapsed about 3 years after my 2nd round. I'm staying optimistic with this pattern and that I will achieve long-term remission after this round. Difference between you and me is that I'm a 25 year old male, yellow, with severe oily skin. So I knew accutane would work for me. The problem after taking the drug was that my oily skin

  7. cool. another t-dot rep. i've been in your shoes dude. things will get better...just keep doing your best to treat it. if you don't have a derm, i recommend dr. wekbserg for help.

  10. Hey guys! it's been a while since i posted anything here. i'm pretty sure some of the people i talked to a lot in the forum are no longer on as well, but i do go on occasionally as a guest to check out how some people are coping with acne. i'll try to give a short-as-possible update since the day i went on accutane. the day was august 9, 2005 (a year ago). i was suffering from depression (real depression guys) over my acne. i lost confidence, hope, faith in myself. i lacked motivation to succee
