  1. Sounds like you know what your skin needs. Be confident & outgoing, smile & laugh alot and no one will notice your skin.
  2. Mineral make-up is actually better for acne than most liquids, that is if it is zinc based and doesn't contain boron, bismuth oxychloride, and/or mica -you want to avoid those if you have sensitive skin or acne. Most liquid make-ups contain talc, preservatives, and other ingredients which can be irritating and cause breakouts. For mineral make-up, get a good concealer brush and pick up a tiny bit of powder and with a light hand gently dot/dab on problem area (after cleansing and moisturizing). Y
  3. If you find a pink mineral powder you like, you can easily mix it with your favorite lip balm to get the perfect color! I'm not big on commercial make-up, but I did find a pink lipstick I really like; Avon Ultra Color Rich Lipstick in POUT. It is a shimmer, but very subtle. On their website the color leans a bit towards beige/lt. brown, but it is light pink in person. I apply a little jojoba oil to my lips, then lip balm, a light dusting of powder, then apply the lipstick and it lasts all day.
  4. When I was in my teens, I used to spend at least an hour washing, scrubbing, exfoliating, putting on liquid make-up, cover stick, powder, blush, etc trying to look perfect and cover up every blemish. Now I only use natural mineral make-up - a quick flick of the brush and some spot applications and I am out the door in less than 5 minutes. For me I found that applying to much & to heavy make-up, and all those harsh chemicals only made my skin worse.
  5. I'm nearing 40 and still use mineral make-up. To avoid make-up sliding and settling in fine lines & wrinkles, be sure to use one with little to no mica. I also avoid applying make-up to fine lines & wrinkles and apply it just outside those areas. If they need to be touched up due to a blemish or redness I spot apply with the tip of a fine concealer brush. You can also take your favorite mineral powder and mix it with your favorite moisturizer, jojoba oil, or aloe vera gel if you want to
  6. Anyone steam their face daily and have positive results? I am wondering if this is something I should do regularly. I was recently very sick & congested and steamed my face/head twice a day for 5-10 minutes for a week and even when TTOM arrived (and I usually have hormone related break outs) my skin was perfectly clear!
  7. I use organic, cold pressed jojoba or sweet almond oil, both of which work well without breaking me out. I would never personally put animal fat on my face and would assume it would, or could, break one out. But, if you choose to use it, know that it should smell gamey -kind of like chicken. If it does not, it is bleached and lost any of it's so called "healing" properties and you are putting bleach and/or other ingredients on your face.
  8. I've always read you shouldn't exfoliate more than once a week or it can damage your skin. My favorite cleanser is Kiss My Face Olive Oil soap. It never breaks me out or dries my skin. You can get it, or other cleansers, at www.iherb.com - be sure to enter code MOD625 for $5 off your first order.
  9. I've been eyeing the GOL products at www.iherb.com - they have reasonable prices and if you enter code MOD625, you get $5 off your first purchase.
  10. One way to rid your hair of build up is to rinse it in apple cider vinegar. It doesn't smell so great, but it does the job and is cheap. Plus you can use any shampoo/conditioner. In order to avoid dryness, do no more than once a week. FYI...You can get ACV for only the cost of shipping! Enter code MOD625, apple cider vinegar
  11. $5 off oils, lotion, soap, herbs, vitamins, make-up, organic foods, etc at www.iherb.com Use code MOD625, no expiration date. Today is last day of 99 cent shipping on any size order up to $80 - Priority Mail from CA.
  12. MOD625 is another $5 off coupon code-with no expiration, there are several floating around online.
  13. Wow, that is impressive and a totally cool idea! Please let us know how you like or dislike the soap.
  14. Especially with mineral make-up, make sure you exfoliate your skin, then moisturize before applying make-up. I use jojoba oil. I put a drop on my finger tips then gently pat round my face. I let it sit for a minute, then apply my minerals. Right now www.iherb.com has a sale on many items including 40% off Jason Naturals Pure Beauty Jojoba Oil for only $4.20. If you use $5 off code MOD625, you can get it for just 99 cent shipping, just be sure to click on the 99 cent shipping option.
