  1. Is the pic below the derminator y’all like? I just want to be sure I buy the right thing.
  2. Thank you! I’ll try the deeminator with the stamp on it first and see how that goes. If there’s no improvement after 4 treatments spaced apart every 4 weeks then I’ll see a plastic surgeon. I know it’s tethered down. I can see where it is if I look closely. So Maybe going in at angle with the stamp will untether it? That is my hope, anyway. I don’t think I’ll do TCA Cross on it. I’m worried I’d make it worse. So stop retinA 24 hours before derminator and whe
  3. Here’s more pics. I know it’s overkill, but I’m hoping someone can tell me if i should do the paint or toothpick metho? I guess I’ll do the toothpick method first? And if after 4 of those treatments (5 months) I don’t think I’m seeing any improvement then I’ll try the paint method?
  4. Hello. I can’t find any derms in my area who want to do anything except lasers and fillers. Neither of which did anything to improve this one Icepick (Maybe boxcar??) scar i have smack dab in the middle of my cheek. It’s from acne in college about 22 years ago. Since I have not had success with fillers and lasers, I’d like to try the TCA Cross myself in this ONE scar. I read your post on TCA and peels (thank you for the informative post). I am not sure, however, if I need to follow the pai
  5. The larger ones look like boxcar and the tiny enlarged pores look like Icepick. But I’m not an expert
  6. i think that the 1540 is IPL. on tuesday, it will be 3 weeks and I'm breaking out like crazy, which is really upsetting me because I'm afraid I'll get new scars. I just started a round of doxycycline to help with the breakout. I haven't had a bad breakout like this since my college years. I'm 31 now. Did you notice any improvement with the first treatment? I'm not going to have anymore because my skin is taking so long to recover. I don't want to go through a month or more of bad skin af
  7. How come there are good before and after pictures? Surely some people must have success with them? This particular device was created with acne scars in mind. Either way, I'm not getting the 2nd treatment because my skin definitely has not responded well. I don't like my results so far. Hopefully I'll return to my prelaser skin in time OR will see some improvement in my scars in time.
  8. i had Palomar starlux 1540 11 days ago, and am having the hardest time finding anyone anywhere who has had this same laser treatment. thankfully, i talked to zrbx. but the side effect i'm having, he didn't. so i'm trying to figure these teeny tiny bumps out. also, please tell me you didn't experience fat loss afterwards. i saw a little improvement on Thursday, but today, Saturday, I feel like my scars are more prominent. in addition to that, my tone is blotchy. i can cover it with make
  9. hang in there. i too am with you. i had starlux 1540 done 11 days ago for 7 acne scars. now my coloring is all blotchy. with makeup on i look ok, without, i'm a mess. my skin color was great before. now, i see no improvement in my scars and have horrible blotchy color. hopefully i'll notice a difference after a month. as of now, i'm not getting a second treatment. this whole "4 days downtime" was nonsense. i have these awful little bumps all over too. they aren't pimples. they are co

    Palomar Lux 1540 today

my scars are from when I was 21 on accutane, so I doubt they'll improve anymore on their own since it's been 10 years. but at the same time, i don't want to age myself either. if they had a banging my head against the wall smily in fast reply, it would be right here.

    Palomar Lux 1540 today

i'm not sure when it was approved by the FDA, but any stories about it online date back to 2009. i may have seen an 07. i've been scouring the internet for personal stories about this specific laser, but mostly all i find is fraxel, of course. what i do know about it is that it's an erbium non-ablative fractional laser. the 1540 in particular is a handheld device attached to the Palomar Starlux machine. they have other attachments for veins and hair removal etc. the 1540 in particular
  14. i forgot to mention this laser too http://www.realself.com/photo/122194?offse...;topic_id=39645 it's called pixel, but i know nothing about it. however, the before after pics for acne scars look pretty good
  15. thanks in the past, lasers were iffy for those with "yellow" skin, but i've heard that there is a newer one out that wont cause pigment problems on darker skin tones. i'm not sure which one it is. you should google and/or ask your derm about it. also, retin A .025 3x/wk softens the edges of my scars.
