    My Acne Journey

This album depicts my journey to clear my acne. I've used acne.org products before, but they didn't clear my skin completely (I was using them for several years). In mid-September in 2014, I decided to go to the dermatologist. My doctor prescribed me Atralin, which didn't show very good results. So I went back in mid-November of 2014 and was then prescribed Tazorac and a pill called Acticlate. In the morning, I wash my face with Cetaphil. At night, I wash with Cetaphil again and apply a pea-size

I've seen a lot of improvement on my left cheek since I posted my most recent pics which is weird that it happened so sportaticly. But I have gotten really disappointed at times where I felt like nothing would work and I should give up but I stuck with it and I am really hoping this is my lucky charm. But it sounds like your son and I are having similar issues so I'll keep this updated for sure! Thanks!

The pimples are larger on my forehead and I will admit I have been picking at them but I try not to. Bad habit but I will stop it.

    Routine

From the album: My Acne Journey

I use the handsoap to wash my hands before washing my face. Then I use about a pump and a half of cetaphil. I let it "soak in" my skin for 15-30 seconds before I wash it off.

Hey! It's nice to see someone with the same problem as me haha. Well I've definitely noticed that the balance of my face has "normalized". There's less oiliness and less dryness. But it takes at least 3 months to work fully and I've only been using it for about a month. A lot of the acne on my face Ive noticed is scars that look like pimples, but I do still have acne. So I'm gonna stick it out and see the results! I go back to the dermatologist in mid-Feburary so we will see!! What have you trie
  12. Pretty Good Product

I've been on this product for about a month. I switched over to Tazorac from Atralin. I am using the Tazorac at night and taking Atralin (an antibiotic). Tazorac has shown minimal clearance, but I am hoping it will start to work. I never went through the "purging" phase, though. I will keep this updated!!
  13. Great spot treatment

Great spot treatment Very effective Works fast Can be greasy I have been using AHA as a moisturizer and occasionally as a spot treatment. The spot treatment works really well for me. If I feel a pimple coming, I put a little on the area and within one or two days, the arising pimple is gone!
  14. I have been on The Regimen for about 4 months now. It has helped my acne clear up mostly. The only thing I noticed is that I have smooth red patches of little marks on certain areas of my face. (lower and upper cheeks) I don't think it's acne because I run my fingers over it, and it feels smooth, no bumpy areas. Are these acne scars?? And how long will it take for them to go away? Thanks.
  15. I play sports on a regular basis and I sweat a lot. My mom told me to wash my face after games/practices. Is that a good idea should I do it or will it just make my acne worse? Thank you.
