  1. Hopeful, I am so happy for you that you sought out help. That is a huge step. I also was seeing a psychologist for a few months when I became severely depressed. And I'm so happy that your acne is under control from the Accutane. It's always nice to hear success stories. I'm going to my Derm on Monday to add a little more filler to the area. My husband and I will be trying for a baby soon and I want the area to look decent before I get pregnant since I can't do any treatments while pregnant.
  2. Hello everyone! It's been months since I was on this board but I just wanted to provide an update and offer some hope to those still suffering from atrophy or acne. Last summer, I had atrophy in 4 areas on my face resulting from cortisone injections. The atrophy and ongoing cystic acne caused me to become severely clinically depressed. I was later diagnosed with Body Dysmorphia (BDD). I was hiding my face from people, having breakdowns regularly, I wasn't eating or sleeping--i was completely co
  3. I don't know about saline after two years but I would suggest fillers. Ask about boletera. It's temporary so you will have to get more injected every 6 months or so but depending on how bad the indent is bothering you, I would say it's worth it. It's definitely not cheap, unfortunately.
  4. Yes. It only wore off in one area in between my eyes where I have a lot of muscle movement. The dents in my chin stayed filled in.
  5. I was considering pursuing legal action as well. As recently as last week actually. I emailed a lawyer and got no response. What had the lawyers told you?
  6. I don't have the dent because I got boletero again within 3 months of my first treatment. I hope this vial lasts longer. I hope the skin improves for you. I think it will. Just think that red marks can sometimes take months to go away but they always do. I imagine the skin will gradually improve as well. It will just take time.
  7. I'm sorry Jenna. Is the atrophy better due to the filler and you're just trying to fix the thin skin? I had to get another round of boletero injections 3 months after my first because it wore off so quickly. I've already dumped $1200 in fillers to fix the atrophy. While it looks much better, who knows how soon I'll have to get more. I can't afford to keep doing this. I hope it fills in on it's own before I have to get the next one.
  8. Hello. I just used my 1.5 mm dermaroller for the first time on Satuday morning (today is Tuesday) and I'm noticing the area on my forehead and in between my eyes is bumpy and has a rough texture. It's not an infection or an allergic reaction or anything but just a bumpy texture. Is this normal? I've been goggling it for days and haven't read much about rough skin texture the days following rolling. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm already insecure about my skin texture and I hope I d

  10. My redness went away but my skin is slightly bumpier and thicker. what size needle do you roll with?
  11. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of horror stories out there. I'm terrified. The pixel laser I used is an erbium yag (4 treatments over 2 years). Most of the negative reviews I read about are Fraxel. It seems there are more negative affects than positive. But do you think it's just because the people who have negative affects are the ones who shout louder and the people who have no bad side affects don't bother posting?
  12. Thank you! By gross do you mean bumpy texture or just zits? I haven't broken out but my skin is rough and bumpy.
  13. Help! used the 1.5 mm dermaroller on saturday morning. I didn't apply any topicals after because I was afraid I'd breakout. I've just kept it clean and moisturized. Today is Monday morning and my skin feels a little rough and bumpy. Is that normal even after 2 days? There is definitely a textural change between the treated areas and untreated areas. I'm already sensitive about my skin texture and I'm worried I've made it worse. Is this temporary? Is it microswelling? Any advice is greatl
