  1. These type of scars may never go away. Just live life the best way you can. I'm sure a lot of girls will still chase after you despite your small skin flaw which isn't a big deal at all.
  2. Use benzoyl peroxide to get rid of acne bacteria and then AHA glycolic acid to fade your red marks. In 4 months time, you will see a big difference after using the AHA. Also, avoid sugary drinks and stick to water during your skin therapy. Best of luck.
  3. One word: stress. I bet it's one major factor to your breakouts. Try to relax, listen to music, meditate, exercise, spend time with your friends, or play with your pets to reduce some stress levels. Best of luck, you'll be fine.
  4. Your acne looks like a mild case to me. Just keep on following the regimen and drink lots of water. That should do the trick. Cheers.
  5. It sounds like your skin isn't used to the BP yet which is alarming since you've been on the regimen for 3-4 months. Make sure you gradually increase your dosage. A sudden increase will cause your skin to panic especially if they are not used to the BP. Also, you should mix jojoba oil with your moisturizer before you apply it. When I first used jojoba oil, it also made my face red but I stuck to it and it eliminated the redness on my face after several days of using it.
  6. No, you should only apply BP twice a day and no more or less than that. Just apply moisturizer if needed.
  7. Try mixing jojoba oil with your moisturizer and the redness should fade. I had the same problem too and people would ask me why my face was red. Unfortunately, the red marks are there to stay but if you get lucky, they will fade in several years.
  8. If you're going to use AHA, you don't have to use the jojoba oil as the AHA will take care of the dryness. Just mix the AHA (pea sized) with your moisturizer (the general amount you use) and then apply it to your face. I've used both jojoba oil and AHA in the past but I didn't like the shiny/greasy look on my face so I stopped mixing them. You should only use jojoba oil until your face is used to the AHA, then you can use AHA by itself, even without a moisturizer after 3 weeks or so.
  9. Aaron is correct. Jojoba oil is the best solution to your problem. It worked for me, when my moisturizer couldn't get the job done. I don't use it anymore though as AHA+ takes care of the flakiness for me now.
  10. I use the Olay 15 spf all day lotion for sensitive skin. You have to use it while under the regimen if you plan to go outside or else, the sun rays will damage your skin.
  11. I think you should wait a week or two before you start using it. And when you first use AHA, you have to use a pea size and then work your way up just like you did with BP. Last week, I tried one pump on one side of my face and another pump on the other side and I looked like I got sun burnt. :/ Not cool so I only apply one pump now every 3 days although I've been using the AHA for almost 4 weeks now. Just don't use too much at first.
  12. I know how hard it is to feel insecure because of your looks but you're only 21 once, so why not have the time of your life and forget about your acne. When you're outside, you will forget about your problem until you look at a mirror but don't let that get in the way of your happiness. Go out and have some fun with your friends. They'll still accept you, acne free or not. Take care.
  13. Try salicylic acid and see if that works for you. It's less drying than BP.
  14. Go buy yourself some jojoba oil and mix it with your moisturizer to get rid of flakiness.
  15. What's your diet like? how often do you drink water? If your lips are dry or your urine is yellow-dark yellow (normal = clear colour), that's good sign that you're dehydrated.
  16. Yes, it sounds about right. Unfortunately, there's not much you can do but wait it out until your skin fully heals. Best of luck.
  17. No, AHA doesn't break me out. It may just be a coincidence that you received those three pimples on your face or something else caused it such as your diet, not following the steps of regimen carefully, touching your face unconciously, applying too much AHA on the first day of using it, not drinking enough water, etc.
  18. Buy Dan's 2.5% BP and his AHA+ bottle and follow his regimen step by step: http://www.acne.org/regimen.html The 16 oz BP bottle lasts for 2 months, so if I were you, you should buy that one and it's VERY effective. You will see your acne fade away in 4 weeks if you follow Dan's regimen religiously/on a regular basis. The AHA (10% glycolic acid) is said to be useful towards hydrating your skin (it can be used as a moisturizer), reduce your redmarks AND make your skin feel smooth. I've bee
  19. Apply 5-6 drops of jojoba oil on your face with your moisturizer. That should help reduce the redness significantly.
  20. http://www.acne.org/supplies-guide.inc.html Here are the 3 SPF moisturizers that Dan recommended: Look for:From Dan: "The three SPFs which I have found that work well (and I have tried them all!) are: Neutrogena Clear Face SPF 30 - In your palm, mix 1/4 to 1/3 teaspoon into your usual non-SPF moisturizer, and apply. Olay - Complete All Day Moisturizer with Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 - Sensitive. In your palm, mix with 5-6 drops of jojoba oil to increase moisturizing capabilities, and a
  21. I use just one pump with 5-6 drops of jojoba oil but sometimes, it's not enough so I may use more. It's really up to the person. Somemtimes I'll add another pump for my neck.
  22. Yes, try it first. If not, you could always try the other two. It really depends on how your skin takes it.
  23. How much amount of Bp do you use? because it seems like when i apply my face turns all red and dryness appears all around. I'm highly considering changing mositirizers. Did you used Dan's mositrizers and have you also experienced your skin turning yellowish? Because my face is clear now, I only use 1 pump of Dan's BP in the morning and 1 pump at night. When I used to have acne, I did the recommended full 2 pumps until my face got cleared then I went back to using 1 pump as a preventative measu
  24. Use 5-6 drops of jojoba oil and add an extra drop or so if you need it. It did break me out the first time I used it (one tiny pimple) but it disappeared a day later. I think it may just be a coincidence. Try using it daily and see what happens. You shouldn't get scared of breaking out though becase the BP will prevent you from getting any more pimples or at least try to esp if you use the recommended dosage.
