  1. Hi Tea77 - I posted a message for you in the posting about food that contributes to acne. I really am happy that the lemon juice has worked for you and that you played around with it a bit to find what worked for you! AND that you don't have to spend lots of money on vitamins now!!! Isn't is amazing that something that seems so simple works??? And you're absolutely right that sometimes "less is more." My naturopath told me that once too. And, another thing, after a few months you should be
  2. Hey tea77 I'm glad to hear your skin is getting better and you can control it with your diet - that's great!!! The latest thing I'm doing is eating a lot of raw food - veggies, bean sprouts, nuts, a bit of fruit. I heard it was very healthy and thought it may help my headaches. I not only look good now- I feel great too! If you're interested check out <http://www.rawgourmet.com/> But don't go 100% right away if you're going to try - your body will go through too harsh an adju
  3. Veggies will not cause acne - except maybe starchy ones like potatoes and peas / corn. Green leafy veggies are the best for you - rich in vitamin E, iron, and calcium. Try Rice Dream milk - I love it! It's so yummy!
  4. Hi there, Sorry I haven't been on this site in awhile. Responses to the last few messages: Naturopaths and nutritionists will always tell you to keep your flax seed oil and flax seeds in the fridge - otherwise they go rancid in a few weeks. Also - the person who asked about the book - read my posting called "try this if the lemon juice does not work for you." It summarizes the foods to avoid. Keep up with the lemon juice - it will last about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks approximately. You only need
  5. I had the same problem - for me it was an improper diet. Please read the topics "Story of my success after 15 years of acne," and "if the lemon drink does not work try this" - in these postings I've basically summarized the About Face book that you can buy online. I found out all the tricks from my naturopath first and then heard about this book and it clarified everything for me. And the best part is that it works. Give it a chance anyway - especially if you have cystic acne. If it not c
  6. I used Dove unscented for years on the recommendation of my derm and doctor. I liked it, but now realize it is too harsh and drying on my skin and actually was making my back break out. So I only use an unscented all natural glycerin soap now over my whole body - took awhile to get used to after the Dove, but it has a ph balance similar to skin so it is very gentle. However, one thing I found out was that Dove unscented was great for removing all types of stains on clothes, etc. I oil
  7. Hi... Sorry, I haven't been on in awhile. Foods good for acne: Green veggies - especially leafy ones - kale, spinach, broccoli, artichoke, dandelion, brussel sprouts, asparagus, etc Orange veggies - carrots, squash, etc. Flax seeds & oil - make sure refrigerated where you buy them & keep them that way yourself Salmon, chicken, white fish, turkey, not red meat Lemon, lime Different WHOLE grains - oats, brown rice, rye, quinoa, barley, buckwheat I think most
  8. If the lemon juice & water alone does not work you may need a more extreme diet plan. I'm not talking about starving yourself but your body may have more than it's share of toxins. And if it does - try this: Eliminate these foods: Fried foods Starches: white rice, pasta, baked prodects etc. Dairy - milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, also eggs! Fruit - yes fruit!
  9. Yes, you can use fresh lemons - use one half or 1 full lemon. Using more will not speed up the process! And you should buy ORGANIC!

  11. Hi Fred: Here's a suggestion: If the lemon juice alone does not work you may need a more extreme diet plan. I'm not talking about starving yourself but you body may have more than it's share of toxins. And if it does - try this: Eliminate these foods: Starches: white rice, pasta, baked prodects etc. Dairy - milk, yogurt, cheese, butter, also eggs! Fruit - yes fruit! Salt All forms of sugar - even honey, maple syrup etc. I know it sounds crazy but it worked for me and I wasn't taking th
  12. Hi there, I was the one who suggested the lemon juice and hot water drink in "the story of my success after 15 years of acne" - I'm so happy that other people are doing it and it is helping!!! The more research I do the more I am understanding why it works now. According to the "About Face Clear Skin Program" it is called the "Magic Drink." Lemons, limes, grapefruits & oranges contain acids that break down the mucus in your body to make it easier to rid your body of toxins & wastes t
  13. It is a food plan - no you won't starve! No vitamins! It is basically about what foods cause "mucus" in your body - I know it sounds weird but I believe in this 100%. Apparently mucus is what causes skin problems. You follow the food plan & drink lemon juice drinks (normal foods of course, and elliminating some foods) until you clear up, and then only follow the plan again when you really need to. I learned all these tricks along the way - it has taken me over a year to figure out the w
