  1. hey i was reading your magnesium and calcium thread. I have started taking magnesium and i feel so mentally fantastic but I'm beginning to break out( i think its from my hormones shifting) Did you experience that?  also how long after the magnesium and how long after the start of calcium  did your skin get better. Any way i could see those pictures?

Diet Is The Cure For Acne.....rofl

Hey, don't forget about adult acne. My acne didn't get severe until I hit 21. But there are people in later ages who develop acne (30s, 40s..). My aunt who is 58 still has cystic acne on her cheeks. then wait till you get 27, then u'll see how severe your acne will get. i assume balding starts in the twenties, so that's my explanation. also your aunt may compete with her bridegroom regarding testosteron. lol sorry for the sarcasm Hi, I do not suffer from acne anymore because of diet c
    2. Awesome! I think it is easy to obtain beta-carotene from food sources (sweet potatoes, carrots, etc), but it is difficult to obtain the preformed Vitamin A form that is found in animal products like pastured eggs, raw milk, liver (especially chicken liver), fermented cod liver oil,... Plus, vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin. Meaning... it needs FAT to be used/absorbed. I remember someone here saying they put coconut oil on their sweet potatoes and cleared up. This could very well explain w

      Magnesium Supplements

Hi, I just responded to your message. But 400 mg is not too much. That is about the RDA for magnesium. Please don't use magnesium oil. Well, you can, but I did not notice any changes with it... Just itching and burning skin with no results.

I was just going to type 'k' but ... I will say more. We agree to disagree. While many people are healing, you are still suffering and your health is declining. My acne is so much better through this way. I would say cured but when I want a holiday treat my face explodes lol. Good luck in your journey to clear skin but don't be ignorant.
    6. Hi, I would first like to say it is important to look at what YOUR diet is lacking in. I think the magnesium is a great idea since most people really are deficient in it. I recommended calcium for those that avoid dairy like I did all the time, and I was on a medication that depleted my calcium levels. It is also important to take the right type of calcium, and the right amount (along with its cofactors like vitamin D, magnesium, and K2) or else you will have some problems. I had all of the

    8. Hi WishClean, Thank you for recommending those supplements, I will definately check them out! Especially the herpanacine. I think the vitamin A theory is interesting. I think that it is part of the reason why when people go paleo, they have success in a lot of their skin conditions + other disorders because not only is it saying to eat meat, but also animal ORGANS (liver = vitamin A), eggs (pastured eggs = way more nutrients A, D, K...), and grass fed butter which has a lot of fat soluble v
    9. Hi alternativista! I love hearing from you. I definately agree with your statement. Especially the calcium part (which is why I started looking at cofactors and magnesium/vitamin D). But I do think that minerals/vitamins are interrelated. Zinc helps vitamin A. Vitamin A helps D. Magnesium helps Calcium. D helps calcium.... Definately all related. I just focused on Vitamin A because of the keratosis pilaris. Our health system just names diseases ... but they are most likely nutrition
    10. Hey! Yes I realize this. But this was just one of the many articles I found. I'm in University so I have access to research articles (lib.umd.edu and ebsco and proquest.. the whole thing). They all say the same things. Also, it is not really scholarly to go by anecdotes from people (stories) like we all do here. Right? lol But we all take the chance. Thanks for your input! I just chose this article because it is EASY to read. Not a lot of people want to read research articles, an
    11. Please read this article: http://www.supernutritionusa.com/images/pdfs/VitaminALongVersion.pdf I've read similar articles that say many people can not convert beta carotene to Vitamin A (retinol) form. That is really bad! Especially if you are a vegetarian or vegan!!!! I'm clear from acne with my magnesium/calcium. However, I still have keratosis pilaris (chicken skin on upper arms). I was researching, and saw it was a Vitamin A deficiency. I wondered why.... And saw many people
    12. Hi Mark, I buy the ORIGINAL flavor because it does not have sugars or other crap in it that might negatively affect me. The original flavor tastes just like lemon water/lemonade. After trying the original flavor, I doubt I would like the other flavors... I love lemon number 1, but number 2, it is already kinda tarte/sour as is, so any other "fruity" flavor would just make it nasty/too sour. I mix the powder with just plain, filtered water. You can mix it in whatever you'd like I think. Al
