...and I think to myself, what a wonderful world.
  1. Thank you ..I'm starting to feel a little better, so hopefully I'll get back to posting tomorrow or the next day.
  2. I haven't been keeping up with my photos or blog because I've been super sick. Pretty sure my son, my daughter, and I all have the flu. Blah. Will update when I can crawl out of bed without tossing my cookies.
  3. One week into the raw food diet, and I'm feeling pretty good! I've lost 5lbs so far, and my skin has already cleared up quite a bit. I have been having some cravings for pasta and dairy, so last night I made an exception for some vegan "cheese". I also ate waaay too many nuts. Bad idea... I honestly knew at the time that it wasn't a good idea, but i just couldn't help myself. Anyway, this morning I had such a terrible stomach ache. It was awful... So, I won't be doing that again. I went to my

    Raw Food Diet

Month long trial of raw food diet
  5. I keep track of everything I eat, so I'll let you know everything I ate yesterday. 1 banana, 1/2 a cantelope, 1 cup mangos, 2 cups tea, 6 cups spring mix mesclun salad, 1 cup green onion, 1 cup sugar snap peas, 4 tbs fresh lemon juice (for water), 8 cherry tomatoes, 1 large tomato, 1 avocado, 1 cup mushrooms, 5 baby carrots, 3 radishes, 1 celery stalk, 1 nectarine, 2 tbs pico de gallo, 24 almonds, and 2 tbs hummus (the only thing I will make an exception for - I love it too much). I also dra
  6. I would say within a month tops, possibly longer, possibly much sooner.. everyone's different. It sounds like your initial breakout is fairly new, so I would just be patient and try to stay busy with other things to take your mind off it.
  7. Yeah. Detoxing will more than likely cause an initial break out. Be sure to drink lots of water (half of your body weight per day), and eat lots of fresh produce. I know that seems like an obvious thing to do, but most people don't actually do it. Having a clean and healthy diet will definitely help.
  8. Sounds like you are detoxing. I would give it a good month before you give up on your cleanse/supplements. Good luck!
  9. Thanks for your response! You should check out fullyrawkristina on YouTube. I recently watched her video about why she decided to go raw.. She was really skinny (80 some pounds), and was worried about losing weight too... But she actually gained a healthy amount of weight once she went raw. She is still skinny, but she looks super healthy and her skin is amazing. She also has some great tips and recipes on her channel.
  10. I used raw honey as a face wash for about a year, and I would also use aloe afterwards. The honey definitely helped keep my acne at bay and the aloe reduced swelling quite a bit. After a MASSIVE breakout I (stupidly) decided to use Proactiv, which just made my skin worse. I'm currently using CeraVe 2x a day, along with a raw food diet. Once things get more settled I hope to switch back to honey and aloe. Using natural products is really important. You're doing a great job and your skin looks rea
  11. I am on day 3 of the vegan raw food diet. So far, I love it! I feel more energized than I have felt in a long time.. And not the jittery energy that you get from caffeine, it just feels like nice, clean energy. I couldn't be happier about this because I have been battling fatigue for some years now. I would attribute the fatigue to my fibromyalgia and my not-so-great vegetarian diet. As a vegetarian, I would obviously not eat meat, but I really didn't consume nearly enough fresh produce. Inste
  12. I use an iPod Mini, all of my original photos in the camera roll are rotated properly. When I upload photos, some of them end up rotated upside down or sideways. I've tried using the rotate button to fix them, and it shows the photos rotating and I save, but then they just end up back to the way they were. Please help, thank you
  13. Hi Roz! We share similar histories. I am new here too and really excited to build a support system. Acne can be so isolating! I also had really clear skin as a teen, and now, at 23, I've been battling cystic/hormonal acne for about 5 years. I also don't like to leave the house without makeup, and wearing so much makeup makes me really uncomfortable, but it's the lesser of two evils. I am happy to hear the retiming is working for you, good luck!
