  1. I've been on accutane from about 11 weeks, and was wondering if a one week break would do anything. The pharmacy I use doesn't have my dosage until next week
  2. I'm on week 8, 20mg a day. Seeing small improvments, but when's it going to start really kicking in?
  3. Well I'm already getting the dry lips, dry skin, and my clogged pores going away slowly.
  4. I've read a bunch of stuff saying lower doses, like 20mg, is just as effective as higher doses. Does it take longer to start working? Or is just person specific? I've been on 20mg for a month, I weigh 70kg.
  5. I've been reading a lot of accutane logs and such, and it seems like people who are on low doses of Accutane(~20mg) clear at the same rate as higher doses(>40mg). It seems to me that higher doses doesn't result in clearing any faster and that the only difference is low dosing requires a longer treatment to get accumulated dose. Do you guys think this is true? Or that it just depends on severity and the person?
  6. I took a 2 week break from bp and didn't use anything on my skin to get rid of irritation. I'm gonna start up again because I'm starting to breakout, will I get another initial breakout or what? I was almost 2 months in when I took a break
  7. That one is trying to sell you something. The references also seem to all be about cancer, which is hardly discussed in the article itself. Anyway, if disinfectants wern't added to water, we'd all be constantly ill with bacterial infections. Be careful with what you read on the internet, even if it looks legitimate. Even published, well-intended studies & scientific articles aren't necessarily high quality. If you're absolutely convinced it's the water, just use bottled water as much as po
  8. Your right, but it just seems to make sense too me. Here, my skin doesn't even feel the same, it's ridiculously dry(no matter the moisturizer I use), dull, itches, and acne prone. And it's not just my face. My back, shoulders and legs are getting affected as well and I get dandruff. I've never had any of these problems before I came here, and every single article I've read about the subject, outlines the things I'm experiencing. It has to be the switch in water, as well as the switch of climate
  9. What about this one? http://www.purewatergazette.net/rethinkingchlorine.htm My hometowns water doesn't have chlorine in it. It's filtered with chloride and sodium. Where I am now has chlorine and many more minerals http://www.cityofwestsacramento.org/civica/filebank/blobdload.asp?BlobID=8192 there's a list of the chemicals in the water I have at home. The water hardness is 3.63 and the water hardness in gurnee Illinois is over 8.

Damn lol
  11. Hey, I'm 19 and haven't really gotten a lot of acne throughout my puberty years and in the last 5 months it's hit me pretty hard. I've been on the Regimen for about 8 weeks and have been taking all the supplements that are suppose to help acne. Since I haven't gotten any results, I started to look around as to what has changed. My diet has changed a great deal, but I didn't have a good diet before now either. My sleeping schedule definitely is worse now, but I don't think that's all the problem.
  12. I've read stories about people who get shower filters and shit and see results within a week or two. I guess ill find out in about a week haha. Eating right again, sleeping enough, using soft water, and working out again and getting sun. I'm almost positive it will go away on its own
  13. Do you think it'll go away when I go home? I'm going home for about 2 years, do my life will be lretty much be the same as when I left for Illinois
  14. Like medium ones. And tons of clogged pores.
  15. Britling- http://m.self.com/blogs/flash/2011/11/hard-water-acne.html I just looked it up and hard water does cause acne. Especially since I come from a place with soft water. I think it's just a combo of all these factors. I go home in 9 days, so I let you know how it goes. Ps. I went home for Xmas and I didn't get a single pimple while I was there. Also I don't have cystic. Just white heads. The over all quality of skin has been a lot worse here. Very dry, pale, and dull
