  1. It's the Finacea (azelaic acid) that's causing his improvement, not the Cerave cleanser. There are a couple of studies suggesting that azelaic acid may decrease sebum production, but there are more studies demonstrating that it has no effect on sebum. I haven't seen many Finacea success stories regarding oily skin, so I'm inclined to believe it's a treatment that only works for a small percentage of people. I'd love to be wrong, though. I'm going to have to disagree with you. I think the clea
  2. Short and sweet. Cleanse with Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, then apply Finacea 15% Gel. Went from blotting my face seven times a day, in a six hour period, to blotting one time in the same period of time. Finacea is rx only. I've never had something work so well, and might not even consider asking my Derm for Accutane now.
  3. Thanks for the response. Yes, I'm fed up with my skin but I don't want to risk damaging it in the process of trying to make it better (especially after everything accutane but my poor skin through). I think I'll try MOM if the oil gets any worse and becomes unbearable so thanks for your advice May I ask how your Accutane experience went? On the 29th of this month I have my first appointment with a dermatologist and I plan on asking him if he'll put me on Accutane. What problems did you have w
  4. Haven't posted in a loooooooong time, so sorry if I'm not much help. But I've used MOM for about 2 weeks. It literally did nothing for my oily skin. It did make my redness decrease however. But I remember using it in the morning before school, with moisturizer applied on top, and it looked like I was sweating, it was really bad. It made my oily skin even oilier, and so I never touched it again. I guess with some people it works wonders, and with some it doesn't. Don't know much about pH and
  5. I got prescription pills for my acne and I was wondering if it'd be a bad idea to use both at once?
  6. This is happening to me too. I got clear within 4 months and then I wanted to see if I could use BP only once a day and I've broke out ever since. I cannot stop breaking out. Just one zit after another. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. I've been on DKR since January. I used Jojoba Oil sometimes but never really paid much attention to it as I got clear. I started you it consistently with my moisturizer every time I applied it and so far I feel like it causes me to break out. Every time I use it it's like I'm getting break out after break. I dont know if I'm using to much or what. Please help.
  8. Start it. Even though you still have acne on your chin, you can still apply it there and it may help. I feel like whenever I use AHA it makes my acne smaller the next day.
  9. It was okay. I had the Cream and it did leave my face greasy looking after a while. Applying it at first made my skin matte though. But I do have oily skin so maybe that was why it looked greasy. Also, the cream is really thick, which forced my to rub my face or else it left white streaks. It didn't absorb well initially. If you decide to go with it, get the lotion.
  10. $200 a session. That's a lot.
  11. Honestly, I dont think there's going to be a kit, but that's just my guess. Seeing as though the normal regimen is $40. The new moisturizer would make the kit even more than it already is.
  12. I've been on DKR for 6 months and am all clear. I still have dark spots but only on my forehead. My problem is oily skin though. I have to blot my face like 4 to 5 times a day. Could I go on a low dose of Accutane even though I dont have acne anymore? Would it break me out if I went on it? I want to control my oily skin and it's basically the only effective thing people say works for them. What should I do?
  13. So you both suggest using AHA before BP? I've been using it for more than a month and havent really seen a difference. I never even thought of that. I don't really want to spot test though because pretty much my whole forehead has dark spots but is clear. Same with my cheeks. Could I apply it all over and then do BP. Would it still be effective and safe that way?
  14. I got this a while ago and I have no idea what it is. I never had it before I started DKR, which was almost 6 months ago, and I didn't really worry about it because I though it would go away sooner or later. But it hasn't. It's not even a pimple, or a whitehead, its just like a bump. I tried popping it too and it's pretty much my skin. I've tried doing a spot treatment with AHA but had no luck. Anyone know what this is? I need help because it's embarrassing. Thanks Sorry that my mouth lo
