  1. Before starting Retin-A, I used a Brightpad blue/red LED light to help prevent breakouts. Is it safe to continue using it while on Retin-A? Reason I ask is because I know that Retin-A becomes ineffective and also somewhat harmful(?) when exposed to sunlight. I've been googling and searching for a while but I cant seem to find a concrete answer. I'm just assuming that I should be safe and just discontinue using it or use it during the day when I can find a free window of time to do it.
  2. I just started using Retin-A Micro Gel two weeks ago. I have had no drying or irritation whatsoever but I feel that it's due to my skin being accustomed to BP as I've been using it heavily for the past couple of years. Also I have oily skin so that may also be why my skin hasn't been dry and irritated. So far I have had no initial breakout, just a lot of clearing. 3. I did pick up my prescription at Costco by the way and it cost me that much. Is it the micro version that you purchased, shannongre? Green Gables, you are f'in awesome. Just found an online Canadian pharmacy that sells the brand name 50mg pump for $55 USD. I'm just a bit irked now.. I could have gotten 8-9 pumps for the price I paid! UGH! The manufacturer is Valeant Pharmaceuticals though.. instead of Ortho Dermalogics. Multiple manufacturers make the brand name version I'm assuming?
  4. So my doctor prescribed me Ortho Retin-A Micro .04% Pump 50mg. I went to pick it up today and it cost me $488 with my insurance. Is it normally this expensive? If so, I don't know how I will be able to afford this on a monthly basis.
  5. I had a small pimple on my forehead that I ended up popping. It scabbed up and I stupidly removed it by accident while showering completely forgetting it was there. What was left was a big red recess in the middle of my forehead. I'm afraid that it might become a deep icepick scar. I have no icepick scarring at all on my forehead so it's very noticeable. It's been a day now and the redness has reduced and a new scab has formed but I can tell that it might heal as an icepick scar due to the scab
