  1. Yeah, I saw this movie too. I guess his Benjamin said that to Daisy because acne is the young person equivalent to wrinkles? I don't know. The movie was really good though.
  2. My face used to break out pretty bad a few years ago. I was left with red marks and scars, which I still have but they are not too bad. Recently though, my face started to break out again. I was up in the air as to which kit I wanted to buy. I used Proactiv years ago without much help, but this time it actually has helped with my breakouts. Why does everyone hate Proactiv on these boards anyways? Does anyone else use it?
  3. I've been clear for a while now, just left with scars. But recently I started breaking out again. I was up in the air b/w this and trying Proactiv again. I went with Proactiv and it's actually worked well for me this time around.
  4. I doubt tap water has anything to do with causing acne. I'm not a big believer in bottled water...drinking it or using it for any other reason.
  5. Urine therapy? Come on! That is nuts.
  6. Acne, acne scars, red marks, are all not reasons to end your own life. Us who suffer from acne are not defined by it. Live your life the way you would without it. That is a lesson I learned a LONG time ago. Also, if girls are interested in you, they will like you for who you are, not what you look like. It sounds cliche', but it is true. Take care.
  7. I think you should talk about your battles with acne scars. I'm not sure that I'd make it your entire focus. But, I think the fact that you want to become a doctor because of your battle with acne is a good personal story that they will appreciate. Afterall, millions of people of all ages suffer from acne and the scarring that comes afterwards. I think they will find it noble of you to want to become a doctor to help people like us out there who deal with insecurities everyday as a result of acn
  8. I tried Revlon Colorstay today. I didn't really like it. So I'm back to square one. My town doesn't have a Macy's. I don't want to order makeup online. I'll pass. I want something now. I'll just keep looking. Thanks for the advice.
  9. I think foundation can cover just as good as concealer. What the heck is the difference really? Makeup is makeup to me. The brands are what make the difference. I ended up getting Revlon. I couldn't find Estee Lauder anywhere and didn't want to pay a fortune. I tried the mineral makeup thing. I did not think it worked that well. I didn't feel that it covered anything. So I'm going to try this and see how it works.
  10. Thanks. I'll give it a try!
  11. What is a good foundation to use for redmarks and icepick type scars? Not for active acne. I'm currently using Covergirl whipped foundation. I don't think it covers well enough. I was something that is going to cover at least the redmarks. I have VERY light skin as well so it needs to work around that too. What about green foundation underneath? Help!
  12. I have some ice pick type scars on my cheeks. No active acne. Is there anything that doesn't cost a fortune that can help get rid of these. Either a cream, serum, gel? Anything. Like I said...but something that does not cost a fortune! Help!
  13. I did something similar around the same time. I had a bad pimple and put super strong BZP on it and it burned my skin. I was dumb and pulled off some of the dead skin, now I have a mark there. It's bugging the heck out of me!!!!!!!!
  14. My active acne is pretty much gone. I'm left with moderate red marks and quite a few "icepick" type scars on both of my cheeks. They don't look too bad under normal lighting, but under harsh lights they look terrible. I hope they will fade someday. I think it's really hard to say. I think for some people certain procedues and time works. My uncle suffered from severe acne when he was a teen, and he still has some scars left He's 45 years old. So I don't know. I did pick some of my acne when I ha
