  1. I'll consider the TCA cross! otherwise, i'll keep looking for treatments. Thanks so much, glad I got so much information.
  2. i have one.... when you take pictures/selfies and you either have to find a lighting which doesn't show your redness or filter it a lot!!! so annoying
  3. I have sensitive skin too! When I was flaking about a couple months ago, i stopped using a cleanser in the morning. my morning routine is to just rinse my face with lukewarm water and top it off with a moisturizer. if i washed my face in the morning with a cleanser, my skin would be super dry and flaky. i wear make-up also, and what i use to remove my foundation off is with a cleansing oil. the cleansing oil really removes every trace of my foundation and leaves my skin moisturized and not dry.
  4. Thanks for your reply. I'm glad it's minimal scarring.. but i'm also googling about the TCA cross and it looks quite scary and risky to me. Do you think my scars will go away if I leave them and don't interfere with them? Yes, I've been struggling with acne for a little over 2 years now. My cycle has finally 'calmed' down and I'm breaking out less now.. I guess it's a matter of time. I don't know if this helps but i'm drinking lemon water every 2 days now.. it has made my skin less red. yes the
  5. would someone please tell me if these are extremely large pores or acne scars? crossing my fingers right now because i hope they aren't acne scars... how do i get rid of this? certainly, it isn't too noticeable to other people, but it IS noticeable under very bright lighting. is there any cure? if they are acne scars, what scars are they... i have mild acne all over my face and body.
  6. also, i forgot to mention up there that when you sleep during the night, i suggest you to leave your door opened so when you're sleeping, your room isn't stuffy and isn't interfering with ur skin. it helped my skin too
  7. it's been a little over 2 years and i still suffer from very widespread mild acne from my forehead, cheeks, chin, nose, temples, jawline, neck, chest, and back. on top of that, my skin is very red and it's oily in the t-zone. also, very sensitive as almost anything can aggravate my skin. i have tried antibiotics (minocycline which had cleared me up for 2 months and then just got worse), facials (not good at all, also very pricey, aggravated my acne), benzoyl perioxide (burned my skin...face got
  8. Hi, i'm currently taking Chinese medicine (powder form though) after trying antibiotics (which made my skin SUPER clear for the first two months, and got worse and worse till it was worse than what i started with). the chinese powdered medicine HAVE worked and its my 6th month now but i'm still constantly breaking out with tiny whiteheads. If what you're taking right now is not helping you at all, i suggest you go to other chinese doctors. It took me awhile to find a doctor who didn't just give
  9. I am not sure what is exactly in the powdered medicine but i'm pretty sure it has a bit of laxatives in there. I know it's bad to not know the ingredients i'm putting in my body but she's my family friend and i put my trust in her hands. I see her once every two weeks and take it 3x a day. I live in Canada, British Columbia!
  10. I've also had a good result with Chinese medicine! I'm glad you were too! Hooray
  11. I've been to many dermatologists and they all prescribed me pills and cleaners/tropical creams. I decided to finally go to a Chinese doctor. I am currently taking Chinese medicine right now 3x a day. It has been 3 months and it is slowly clearing up! My bowel movements have improved and a lot of tiny bumps have disappeared. However, I still do get occasional big pimples but they go away in a week. I'm so pleased with my results. I believe that acne begins from the inside and therefore, everyone
  12. I've been to a Chinese Acupuncture place and the doctor just got a needle and poked both of my ears. Blood came out and he told me it helped me "release some toxins" and "fire" lingering in my body. I got it done 3 times and there was no difference. I haven't tried Acupuncture but I have a feeling it's all a myth, just my opinion. If your regimen is starting to work, I suggest you stick with it. Look more into acupuncture if you keep on breaking out. Good luck!
  13. Today is my first day without picking too! I was tempted a couple of times but I stopped, thought about it, and just walked away from the mirror. I'm determined to stop picking completely. Good luck on this! It will take a lot of patience.
  14. I skin pick everyday and I've noticed that whenever I skin pick, I blank or zone out and I'm not fully aware of myself until I suddenly zap out of it and stop. It's like I enter a trance of state for an hour. I don't know if it's just me but I blank out every time I skin pick. Anyone else do this too? Also, does anyone have any tips/tricks to STOP skin picking completely? Because whenever I touch my skin, my skin gets majorly worse.. I've stopped skin picking with my fingernails but now I've b
  15. I do not know if it is just me but first off, I apologize in advance if I do offend anyone in any way. I'm just stating my opinion and how I really feel. I've been suffering mild to moderate acne for two years. These two years have been the worst years of my entire life. I've tried using all treatments ranging from antibiotics to powdered medicine to tropical creams. I haven't found the cure for my acne yet but I'm still clinging on that hope that one day I will eventually end up with clear ski
  16. Most people have emotional pain when dealing with acne. What you need to do is to hope and pray. That is one of the things that had helped me. Believe that your skin will get better. Don't let your skin DEFINE you. I have pretty bad acne and here are all my flawless friends. Acne has damaged me, affected me, killed me. There is not one day where i absolutely hate acne. But we can't control it. i have found something that someone has said on this site, "don't let something you can't control ta
  17. most of the time, i laugh and smile a lot. i'm known to be outgoing... but when i'm left alone, i start to over think and start to worry about my acne. i have acne all over my cheeks, chin, nose, forehead, chest, some on my jawline, and back... i wouldn't say i am depressed even though i do cry about it everyday before i go to sleep. do you guys feel this way too? you're happy when you're with people but when you're alone, you start to panic and worry? sometimes i can just cry for hours and no o
  18. i usually just steam my face to open up my pores, and wrap my fingers in tissue paper and squeeze them out. i recommend that but DO NOT over do it. i do this once every 2 weeks because my face is quite sensitive. don't squeeze until it's bleeding.
  19. i only moisturize the part where i don't have acne because i'm scared it may irritate it... so i avoid my upper back and my chest
  20. let me just start off by saying your eyes are drop dead gorgeous.. personally, what i eat does not affect my acne. but i found that minocycline helped me a lot. i have a lot of acne on my cheeks too perhaps even MORE and it's the worst.
  21. i've recently used a new cleanser followed by a new acne cream. a totally new regimen. it's only been the second day and i'm starting to get a lot of whiteheads. am i purging? or actually breaking out? my skin is combination and pretty sensitive. do you guys have any tips? please feel free to share some with me! and some of my pimples feel like bruises, are those considered cystic acne?
  22. i actually do not know what the cream is called.. that's what it said on the label. i've been on this regimen ever since i stopped my antibiotics "minocycline". my skin went from bad to amazing within those 4 months and after i stopped my pills, my acne was a lot more controlled but i would still get flare ups. i will consider your advice on putting less cream on because i put a lot because i think that if i put more, it'll heal faster. when i got a few pimples last year, i went to a dermatologi
